You have a KL as well? And there are tons of boosted KL's in Probes and MX-6's. It's nothing new, which is why I'm doing it too, plenty of info out there. Or did you mean boosted KL P5?
And no, I never got to track it with the KL.

not even a 1/4 mile? shoot. And ya I mean a boosted KL protege, the only tricky part will be the plumbing (I think) as I don't know what headers others have used.
My build is in progress.. I'm shooting for >14.00 in the 1/4.
I know the P5 being FWD isn't the best platform, but I love these cars and I know a good deal about them since I've done so much work on mine. So I'm going to stick with the P5. It seems like a lot of the Probe guys use the eBay turbo kit for $1k but I've already got half the parts from the kit anyway (and the parts i do have a better quality) so I'll probably piece a turbo kit together myself. I've got to read my room mates turbo bible and do a s*** load of research but I've got plenty of time. Honestly, building the car is most of the fun for me. So that's why I'm really looking forward to working on this build and bribing my friends over to help out.
It's gonna be a loooong summer without something fun to drive though. That's for sure. But the final product will be something I'm very proud of and can enjoy for quite a few years. If I just kept it N/A I would always feel like there was more potential there with bolting on a turbo. And my roommates' and friends turbo cars are just too much fun to pass up. If just the KL with 168whp kept me smiling I'll be giddy with 260whp. haha. But anymore than that is pretty much useless for FWD. I just want to keep up with the Speed3's.

Bring revs up, dump clutch when the 3rd yellow light comes on, shift smoothly, and keep it in your lane. Piece of cake. haha.
Well Shalon (imjustagirl) and I have an agreement for me to buy her P5 in late-summer. I was waiting for her reply to make sure we're both agreed to it. I'm super stoked. She's going to take extra good care of her this summer and when they have the new car, I'll either fly down and drive it up or just ship it up (which is more likely). So the part out for my silver P5 will start very soon if anyone needs parts. I'll post up a FS thread this weekend for her.

That's fantastic! Are you going to keep it black? Since you're probably going to be gutting it, it might not be a bad time to consider a new color
Peaches, I'm just teasing, buddy. I haven't asked what color she's repainting them. They're 16's I'm pretty sure so I doubt I'll hang on to them. I already have enough wheels.

Gemini reverse cowl CF hood, MSP front end conversion, 626 intake mani, Injen intake, OBX header (no rust!) 1.8 coil & wire swap, GT spec trunk cage, awesome pink wheels, short throw shifter, street unit dash rings, SLS catless midpipe, MSP Racing Beat axle back, and I have the RB MSP rear sway bar in the garage waiting for install. Its also lowered, but the suspension could use an upgrade. It doesnt squeek but it could stand to be refreshed. I've owned the car since it had 10 miles on it (I put those miles on it during the test drive, lol) and its been VERY well taken care of. No one believes it has 220k on it until they look at the odometer."
