since i live in miami, we barely need winter tires lol
i've always wanted to see how they look

anyone got any pics with the winter shoes on?

.. My MSP in total winter mode. 16" steelies with winter tires, stock hood, stock grill. The only difference now is that this winter, I'll be riding a little lower (God help me), and I have the tinted BlueBatmobile sidemarker overlays.

The steelies still make it look like s***, though, LOL.

I'm pretty sure I have a couple more shots lying around, if you'd like to see those too. Just ask!

Here's mine in winter mode after I wash & waxed it last winter. I take it out on dry days only though. So it usually sits in the garage most of the time, seen in picture 2.

Winter mode 2007, is 215/45-17 Dunlop Sport M3's (performance winters) which I slapped on the racinghearts this morning. I'll post pix soon

Freezing tempuratures and carbon fiber don't like each other. (enguard)

people who have to use this car on a daily basis...

is it prepared for winter condtions? like the anti-rust paint and stuff?
how often do you wash it?
and if so, thru a touchless drivethru carwash?
do you use the unercarriage washer too?

i'm asking this questions coz there is a slight possibility of me moving to Rhode Island...and even tho they don't chains in the winter, they do use tremendous amounts of salt

RI....ACK!!!! Stay away from that state. I lived there for a year an got the F out.

Rockin' the steelies too...

I put my stock grill and hood back on for one main reason -- gravel. Not only do the places I drive during the winter love to salt beyond reason, but they also love to throw down gravel to try to help with traction. As a result, cars are kicking up gravel all over the damn place -- and the last thing I want is a spray of rocks banging up all my CF stuff.

CF tends to do alright in 'reasonable' winters, though .. As long as it doesn't get severely cold.

I've never had issues with rust on this car, as far as the paint is concerned. At all. Ever. And I drive my car almost every single day -- even in the dead-of-winter months in central PA, with mountains of snow.

I wash it (during the winter) roughly once every two weeks. Sometimes longer, depending on circumstances. But I NEVER take it through a car wash. EVER. I don't trust them. I'll simply suffer for the time it takes me to hand-wash my MSP in the cold. Frostbite FTW!

And no, I don't use an undercarriage washer. That's why some of my shiznit down there is rusted. Nothing too terrible, though -- but when you have to drive through that much snow and salt, it's bound to happen.

And here's s'more old-ass images I found of my MSP in the winter. God, those altezza's really were ugly, weren't they? LOL. Pardon my former bad taste.

Ohhh I like this shot. I cant wait for snow. need to find me some 16" stealies and do the same thing. (glare)

I have a pic of my car with a good amount of snow piled up on it, im gonna go look for it, it was the first and only time this car is gonna see snow.

Thanks for reiterating why I like living on the gulf coast. that so makes hurricanes seem minor.

I win for worse winter! And yes, those snow banks ARE that high.
