I sold the jetta around the time I got my MS3 in July. From that time, I haven't had any time to drive the bug around since there is a little bit of tinkering to do with the engine every so often. The bug is a little bit faster with a 1.75 60ft and 9.0 1/8 mile. I built the engine for torque so it builds power very quickly.

Nice Bug but I wouldn't say it was faster than a MS3 with a 9.0 1/8th as I've ran 9.0 in the 1/8th with just SRI but others have run 9.0 stock. Now that 1.75 60ft a MS3 on street tires can't match.

I had a turbo on it until I got the MS3, it's going back to NA so that I can beat the piss out of it all day long and not worry about breaking anything. Before the Miata I drove an '86 Chrysler New Yorker with the 2.2L turbo motor, biggest s*** pile ever! Then again, it WAS a K car. Thanks Chrysler!

well considering that it puts out less than 150hp at the crank is pretty impressive when comparing it to a MS3. Those times are of course full weight, nothing taken out and having those heavy, cheapo 17 inch wheels. I am sure if I lightened it up with some nice spun aluminum wheels and fixed the horrible wheel hop I would be doing 8.7sec in 1/8th mile no problem.

Oh it's impressive no doubt! I just wanted to point out that a MS3 can run 9.0 in the 1/8 as well

Oh yeah. I wasn't getting angry. Well I went to the track once with my two subie friends with the bug. My bug was able to beat the stock subie; the subie ran 9.3 as I recall. The other subie had an exhaust and accessport which ran I think an 8.9 which was the time all the evo's and sti's ran. I am glad that the MS3 can run an 9.0; I hope we are talking about near the same elevation, similar weather and near stock MS3. BTW, MS3077 did you have anymore pics of your car? I really love the look.
