Lets see what everyone drove before getting the MS3

1988 Volvo 240 DL Wagon (Red, 5-speed, ~100HP, ~130 ftlb)
2003 Toyota Corolla (Silver, 5-speed ~130HP, ~100HP)
2008 Mazdaspeed 3 GT (Cosmic Blue, 6-speed, 263HP, 280 ftlb)

You might say I've upgraded a smidge. Not that the Corolla was a bad car...it was an awesome commuter and a great gas sipper...I averaged 32MPG in stop and go traffic.
 
Previous cars:

2008.5 MazdaSpeed 3!!!

So, I was a long time SE-R fan and obviously, a long time Nissan fan. So, the switch to Mazda was/is quite a change. I still REALLY miss the SR20DE motor. I never really fell in love with the QR25DE of the newer SE-Rs -- probably because my new '03 SE-R needed more work (though under warranty) then all my 'old' SE-Rs combined. My '03 needed a new ECU and fuel pump in the first year, and then the engine ingested a butterfly valve screw at 68k miles (thank goodness for extended warranties!). Before the replacement, the engine was sucking down between 1-2 quarts between oil changes -- most likely due to the somewhat common issue of the first cat deteriorating and breaking up, and the engine ingesting cat particles scouring the cylinder walls. On top of all that, I was beginning to have what I thought were tranny issues, the exhaust had sprung a major leak, the left speakers had quit working and it was needing another fuel pump.

Long story short... my B15 SE-R, in the end, just seemed like a piece of junk compared to all my previous SE-Rs.

Here's to hoping my MS3 last me a long time -- which will be helped by a 7year/100k warranty.

Hey Dirty did you change out the radio unit? I mean I know it's aftermarket but my question was did you make this change or did you buy it like that?

We sold the Civic and replaced it with the MS3 (metro-grey). The other two cars remain... the Dart is the weekend cruiser while the Prelude and MS3 are the daily drivers.
