Hello!

I live in Switzerland and I ordered a cdfp internal kit from Dabears2k few mounths ago. I paid 40$ for shipping and after the recall I sent it back directly to Carpe Diem (+20$).
THen they sent me another one with spring and I installed it.
Yesterday I received my DH check the fuel pressure.

IT STILL DROPS UNTIL 700PSI (bang)(puke)(dunno)

Check on my Datalogs,

In 4th gears:

In 5th gears with boost cut (dunno)

Finally I paid +300$ for something DOESN'T WORK...
If I have to return it again, I have to repay 20$ + TVA (yupnope)

My Mods:

Cobb SRI / SU test pipe / ETS / Forge / Tune

If you have any idea to resolve it, please tell me!!!

only way to resolve it is send it back again, or send it back and ask for a refund. Put your stock internals in in the meantime.

Any issues with your cdfp? is it v1 or v2?

I need a cdfp with my mods, I always hit fuel cut and then boost cut...

im on my 3rd set of the CDFP v2, i no how you feel about 2 sets being crap but, my 3rd one is going to hold up hopefully, knock on wood

They should send you another set without you having to send in that one. At least that is how they did it for me. They just sent me another set.

Yes I think it's easier for me if they only send me a new one. I hope they could do it for me...

think youll have to get in touch with them about it, i had to send my set back before they would give me another. It seemed easier the second time around, i contacted Carpe Diem via e-mail and they were very helpful

Did you also installed the high rev spring with the cdfp?

When I installed the kit, I've seen a little more boost spike, that's normal?

Here is a link you can post in. Send palerider a PM about you issue and he will take care of you.

Take out the spaces. Damn forum Nazis.

if you cannot get in touch with dabears or palerider, you can also PM me. palerider has purchased the rights and future development on these kits so he has committed to handling everyone regardless of where and how they bought them.

Palider said this on the over forum:

i have measured and "felt" a pump that failed, and ive measured it and "felt" ones obviously that hold great pressure. its undectable. tiny particulate can cause failure.... i know for a fact that people are installing these things without cleaning them first, and that causes failure. theres just so many unknowns with an internal kit.

I didn't cleaned it when I installed it... should I try cleaning it?

What about the high rev spring?

If you didn't and it caused the issue then it's too late. Just send palerider a PM and attach a log and he will ship you a new set I'm sure.

sucks to hear about this man. i emailed you and i promise youve spent your last dollar getting straight here. now its just a matter of getting you worked out!!

i have to say the quote from pailrider is BS, due to the fact mine worked awesome for a month and then failed, it wasn't something that happened on the first fireup after the install. Also due to the fact that the retainer holding the spring against the pump internal was bent to the shape of the spring, which means it was a bad peice of casting. i have pics if anyone wants.

why is that quote bs? its one small comment taken out of hundreds over on the other site. but its NOT bs.

now.. considering your situation... irrelevent to the other...
you had a pump that worked for a month and then failed? what do you mean.."failed"? failed how? who are you working with here?

this is the first one of these ive heard. this is greatly disheartening and pics would be much appreciated. i just took over these things and im only able to respond to whatever feedback im given. with over a hundred out there now working well.... yours is the only one ive heard like this. this has been a massive headache sorting this all out for the outfit that brought these things to market. im doing the best i can considering i am not the one most of all you dealt with originally.

it is BS to me because for you to tell me i didnt install it correct, when the internals were clearly failed the first time. due to the fact EVERYONE who got them failed and sent them back, its kinda ridiculous for you to make that statement. also my second time when the worked, the internals failed because the cast peice holding the shins to retain the spring pressure worped to the shape of the spring.

check your PM's and e-mails, more information is on its way.
