does anyone know the LEGAL tint limit for michigan?

a friend of mine got pulled over in his integra for too dark. his girlfriend was driving and the b**** cop liked her dog = no ticket.
the cop tried to tell her that NO tint is allowed in michigan on the front doors. i don't believe that!

i do NOT need to get pulled over for any reason. i want the tint, but not the trouble. please advise; i'm sure there is a website i can check or something.

my bad, i admit i'm an ass. i thought i could hide it in the michigan section. i've been caught!

thank you

btw if you are familar with michigan tint law, i can only have 4 inches on my front windows. i claim bulls***! why do any of my car? it will look like they missed a spot. that sucks. anyone get around this?

That is correct. Only a 4" strip is allowed on the front doors. You should be able to get away with 35% though. It really just depends on what kind of mood the cop is in. If you get pulled over make sure you roll your window down and keep your hands on top of the steering wheel so the cops can see them. It will put them more at ease. I know 3 guys with tint that have never been told to remove it from the front doors. 1 has a Saturn SC with 5% all around (tinted for 2 years now) AND he has been pulled over 3 times. 2nd has a Spec V w/20% all around for over a year now. 3rd is a Grand AM w/20% all around for almost a year.

it worked!

nice tint, where'd you get it done and how much? would you go there again? any trouble with the police? can you see a large difference from the 20% to the 35%?

just a couple questions.

I love the tint. it was $160 if I remember correctly. Very friendly place, Id deff. go back, it was called Auto Mac's in Grand Rapids. No trouble with the popo yet. And I think the tint makes the car come together, it looks great.

And the original post was to see if I had correctly posted my picture in my sig, so how about a review of the pic? to dark? or just dark enough to make it mysterious?
