Got my oil chanaged yesterday...asked the guy if I could take a look under the car, and what did I find....gear oil all over the left front of the car. Got a blown left front axel seal, and just when I started adding bolt ons...damn my luck.

Hey I smlet gear oil for a bit turned out to be my impeller shaft they said And it was replaced. You might want to throw your stock parts back on :) if its not too much of a hassle. But I dont see why they would void your warranty over simple boltons.. But depends on the dealer I guess

Not taking any chances...I'll be completely stock when I show up to the stealership....not playing those games even if i have a good relationship with the service writer...you never know, could be looking for a way to void my warranty. ive had around 8000 in warranty work alone....clutch tsb, driveshaft, rear diff, now left axel, smoking so new turbo and grinding in gears 1-4..so yeah i got some stuff that needs to be done. And no the douchebag wasnt going to tell me he was some 19 year old doing lube jobs that doesnt have a f*cking clue. Thats why I asked to look under the car myself....you can never trust anyone these days.

Exactly you cant.. Thats why I always check. I feel like im headed down your road as of owning the car since january 1st its already had over 1600 dollars in warranty work total..

And they told me the history of the car and all its had done I was like WTF no way.

What alls been done to it?

As far as work..

Clutch exploded
3rd to 4th gear synchro.. Shifter Fork. Replaced gears in transmission
The dealership said it had been in like 13 times thats before I owned it.. I also think the rearend was replaced

I have had it in 2x so far.

Yeah get ready for constant visits....atleast until you get all the problems that are commonly known with the car fixed....seems the rear diff, some trannys, turbo smoke, transfer case leaking, and the clunk noise when turning are the most common. Id find out a record of whats been done so far so you know what to start looking for as the common problems. Searching the TSB's on this forum are a good place to start. I've had mine since november with 23,000 and have only put 27,000 on it, and its been at the dealer a combined total of a month.

I find it funny how some people have great luck and others just have one problem after another. There are several modded MS6s who launch and have no issues with axle seals and trans problems. Make sure that the TSB for the clutch has been done to your cars, and seriously consider a diff. brace for the axle seals. Although not entirely related, it might cure any potential failures.

You find it funny, I find it hilarious! My mods consist of a turbosmart and Cobb SRI at the moment and I dont drag or launch. Now I'm not gonna lie and say I'm easy on my Speed6, im not, but not the the extent of having all that warranty work done. My vin lasts 6 are 104115 so I think I'm one of the first. Wished I had found an 07 instead of an 06. Also im the second owner so theres no telling how hard the first driver drove the thing, but then again I picked it up in November with 23,000. I've look on the net and theres not many low mileage 06 Speed6's out there. After I have my transmission rebuilt and my turbo replaced hopefully that will be the end of visiting the dealership on a bi-weekly basis, well until the PVC fix finally is released. Guess its good I live 3 miles away from Mazda.:((

My ms6 has almost 52k on it. Im the second owner at abouut 45k.. SO far just the leaky left seal too. The guy before me didn't have it in much either, but he commuted with it so it has some very easy miles.. Glad i did the extended warrenty. Id rather spend 2.2k upfront and be worry free for 3 years than get 500-1000 bills randomly. If nothing goes wrong in 3 years ill be mad hahaha

I utilize the launch control via Cobb AP quite a bit. I do a lot of autocross and 'spirited driving'. In fact, I just bought a new clutch and flywheel because of it. However, I haven't had any issues with axle seals. I'll check this weekend when I'm installing the new clutch and flywheel to see if I've got any newly-acquired seal issues.

Just got my car back from the dealer for the left axel seal and was informed that the right seal is leaking as well and part is ordered. Looking on google maps right now for a large cliff to drive off of. This s**** getting really annoying. I figure by October I'll have a completely new car under the hood. When will it ever end?

So i guess im not the only one having bad luck to. So far iv gotten replaced my whole rear diff., driver side rear axle, and now I have some kind of clunk coming from the driver side axle when coming out of first gear?? and also my passenger side axle seal is leaking and my front transfer case. Should I take off my upgraded motor mounts??

Mine is going in for the clutch TSB and a leaky front axle seal sometime soon. Already had the timing cover gasket replaced and all four wheels :-D. All with 23k on the clock.

yea i was doing an oil change n noticed something on my rear diff. sure enough both axle seals shot. not leakin too bad tho, i just filled it back up until i get it in for warranty
