I saw them on of all things, a KIA! But they look really good. Does anyone make them foe the Protege?

i did change me stop tail lights to leds

i bought them from superbrightleds.com i changed the sings ones and the stop lights they work excellent on the stock tail lights.

did you use them for the turn signals? the site says the low resistance of LEDs will cause some cars to indicate a bulb out (by flashing faster or not flashing at all)

yeah i did had that problme first

i did had the problme of fast flashing but they sell also a resistor that u connect them to the bulb and they work normally but although i liked at first the fast blinking what u think????

i don't like the double blink, i don't like the sound of the normal blinking either though
i wanted to get some big led bulbs for my tails but i might have to open up the casing in order to fit them in.
i'm also going to try and take apart an extra turn signal module to disable the double blink.
the resistors are too expensive, i'm cheap

This is bringing up an old thread, but would you mind informing me what wires to bridge with the resistor? I tried for a few minutes but I had to run to class (where I am right now) and I wanted to get it working later so that I can drive my car again :). I already have the resistors (paid the stupid fee from superbrightleds, oh well).

i have LEDs installed all the way around. I will soon be selling complete LED conversion kits with instructions and such. Check my sig for more info. The resistors superbrightleds.com sells are only $5 per turn signal, for a $20 total. They are designed to simulate the load that a normal light bulb would produce, and return the interval to normal. For $20, why worry about all the labor? just tap the wires and zoila!.

zverg: I replied to the other thread with pics on my install. Let me know if you need more details.

There are regular group buys available for LEDs all around on toprotege.com

Look for Myk or Tiwing on our board. They'll hook you up.

YEah, I figured it out and it works now. I had the resistors across the right wires but the lights are in parallel (should have been obvious but I was too rushed when I first installed them) so I had to mount two of them actually in the rear of the car which required taking all the plastic panels out of the trunk of the car... yeah.

Works now though, and looks great! I got all my bulbs from superbrightleds.com

Can any one post pics of your led's at nite. Are they bright enough to be seen during the day? Are they the 24 led cluster or like the 30 led cluster?

click the gauge conversion kit link in my sig, that should be what you're looking for.
