LED lights for rear license plate?

Noticed that a lot of new cars have LED's for the rear license plate lights, which actually looks a lot nicer than the stock yellow ones. Is it difficult to replace these and do I need a particular bulb?

Ive used them both and they blow give out more light than you can imagine.
