Just reading threw this and im trying to understand why people use the piggyback setups with a learning ecu? I come from the ford side of the world and piggybacks dont work on the ecu because it corrects what ever the piggyback tried to change. Im new to mazda world still and not really digged to much into whats out there for the ecu control. I know fords have the sct xcal's. They give you full controll of the entire ecu to reporgram it from ground up with no cutting or splicing of wires. Do we just not have somethen like that?
Also not trying to sound like a dick bag in this just wondering.
Buy me a Haltech, and I'll run it. Otherwise, most of the "real world" is on some sort of budget, where they can't blow $1,600 on buying / tuning a standalone EMS that their T25 boosted car doesn't need.
