Le prix de l'essence Montral

94.9cents per liter!!! That's $3.59 per US gallon, or $4.32 per Imperial gallon. We are getting (upbum) by those bastards. They make millions more every year in profits a keep raising prices. And by "they", I mean oil companies AND the "GOVERNMENT".

Just needed to let off some steam. Please do the same if you feel like it...(protest)

Yesterday was the first time I've fit 30 bucks into my P5. This was 87 octane, BTW. :'(

While I was driving away, I felt like I got robbed.

Ouch!

I know it sounds sick, but I miss my '00 Civic EX...that thing was good for LESS than 6.5L/100km...compared to 8.7L/100km on the P5.

Hey Nathan! This is Uncle Ben (the bib bro.). How much for a gallon of gasoline in your neighborhood today?

LOL I know that's you, Uncle Ben! (drinks) Daisy still wears that bib you bought for her. hehe, I make it fit! ;)

Last I checked(yesterday) it was $2.39 a USgallon for 87 octane. $2.59 for 91.

52 bucks??!! That's obviously CAD dollars, right? I don't even want to imagine what it would cost to fill up an Excursion or some other giant SUV like that. 100 bucks?

...another reason I love my P5! It seats 5 with luggage, corners great, and gets 30mpg to boot!

By driving like an old man (sad2) (highway use almost exclusively, I work in Granby and I drive at an average speed of 105km/h on cruise control, shifts are around 3.5 to 4k MAX.). And no, it's a manual tranny. Best mileage I ever got was 7.38L/100km last summer, the worse is usually below 10L/100km in the winter (when it's around -40C/F). Annual average (over 2 years of owning the P5) is 8.56L/100km.

I have a Palm computer and I use a software called "Automobile" from www.linkesoft.com, very usefull, and I also use an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my fuel expenses.

Oh and yes, I use regular 87 octane, Mobil 1 5W-30 engine oil, K&N drop-in air filter and a B&M (if this changes anything...), and I use a block heater all winter long (I can even do it at work).

i do 450/500 kilo with my mazdaspeed with
50 liter of 94 octane at 120/130 kmh both city
and highway this is an average of 9.5 liter/100km
an when i accelerate i'm boosting. But i noticed
with my last car protege ES 2003 with the same driving
condition (but no boost) i do 425/450 kilo with 87 octane this is an
average of 8.75 liter/100km. (dunno)

Please understand I do not downplay the expense those in Canada pay for gas compared to Americans but I was shocked to see $2.15 USD/gallon yesterday for high test!!! 87 octane was at $1.95 USD. Prices go down as you go into the city but this is still just outrageous.

dudes............somewhere in BC, I think it was vanouver, the regular unleaded (87 octane) was $1.01 CAD per litre.....hahahahahaha. can we say ****!!! Thats $1.38 USD (ex rate 1.37) per litre times 3.8 litres (equals 1 gallon) and you have $5.25 USD per gallon....what a joke!! I feel sorry for those who need to run premium.......take the bus!!!

its the other way around hehe ... 1.01CAD does not equal 1.38USD

$1.01 is ~$0.74 US
times 3.8 = $2.80 / gallon

i went to Wagner/Nick 's open house in Pennsylvania this weekend and had to fill up about 4 times ... i payed (for 92 and 93 octane, in USD / gallon) $1.99, $2.09 and one place was $2.29 but i put like 10$ just so i could find a less expensive one

When i left Montreal friday night, everywhere was at like $0.97 / litre ... then i got to Dorion on the 20 and they were selling it $0.82
