Le prix de l'essence Montral

There is talk that the recent outrageous rise in gasoline prices is the result of
COLLUSION between oil companies (gun) !!!

Just move if you are pissed.
hehe where ? It's pretty expensive everywhere =\

and come to think of it ... it adds like 3 or 4$ when i fill it up. whats 4$ / week ?

it sucks, but i don't care that much

$.979 per litre this morning for regular 87 octane...(screwy) I think we'll have to get used to this situation. With the kind of mileage I drive, it'll be close to $600 more per year.

Like I said, I just wanted to let off some steam. And no I won't move, gasoline prices are high all over the country. Paying more for gas is one thing, but you have to realise that everything (consumer goods) will now cost more, and salaries don't go up that quick...

Exactly. If truck companies have to pay more to deliver the goods everywhere, grocerie stores and everything else will have to pay more to get what they want, therefor, raising the prices for us

and like you said .... my pay check isnt getting any bigger

Stop buying gas from Petro Canada and Shell forever, they are the ones controlling the oil industry here in Canada, stop buying from them and the price will go down because they will have to lower prices to get customers

I personally don't care. After spending $45,000+ on a car, I really don't think I'm going to let a dollar or two stop me from driving the car...

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$YEAH GAS$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

What you say makes sense Brian. But for ordinary every day use, on a family budget, $600+ (and that's AFTER income taxes) more per year makes a difference when gas jumps $.30 per liter... And please don't say "move closer to your workplace", it doesn't always work, it just doesn't make sense in my case (wife walks to work, so she'd be spending the extra cost if we moved closer to MY job).

Gas isn't worth more than $.65 per liter in my opinion. Oil companies make billions on our backs, and the :bs: government gets 42% in taxes alone, so this is why we should get together and at least TRY something to make ourselves heard.

I Agree 110%, I was just trying to make a point that might help people accept the state of the price of gas, You need to buy it, Just stop getting the daily Tim Hortons coffee at $1.50 and you will have gas to drive to Valleyfield or St.Lazar. "Cha Ching!"

hehehe. i'm with you on this ... 2 or 3 dollars more doesn't make that big of a difference. and i'll cut somewhere else if i have to, but my budget isn't that tight anyway so i guess im lucky

Roger That! :)

You should see the lines at the Tim Hortons on main roads, here in Montreal we have one right off the highway I swear every morning the line is like 15-20 cars long. Once I saw it going onto the service road. I don't understand these people, save the gas, turn off your car and walk inside, you lazy people. This method will save you gas plus get you to work earlier it doesn't take a braniack to figure out.
