Laser/Radar Detectors

WOW $399.00, that's more then a CAI. Kinda seems like a lot but I guess it's worth it.(dunno)

All the V1 has to do is save your from one speeding ticket and the insurance increase and it is worth it. On top of that, you can sell your V1 on ebay in 4 years and it will only drop about $40 in price.

so why does everyone love the V1 so much more than lets say the passport x50? has anyone here used them side by side and actually seen a difference? and i know the v1 has arrows, so please dont mention that.

399 blows, if u have money to spare, then good. only buy a radar if ur gonna speed. be careful driving and ull be fine. i have a radioshack radar costs me 45 dollars, had it for 5 years now...still going and never been pulled over with it . :)

I love my Belkin 940. Great ratings and I paid $120 on sale at Circuit City. Google it and check the reviews......

yea.. who cares about ******* arrows! I dont care where it is coming from, I just want to know when it is around! Put the 9500i on Pro and it will detect and show the power of up to 5 signals at once!

When the detector goes off it shows your speed with GPS so you dont have to look up to see if it is k/ka band then look back at your speedo to see if you are speeding...it beeps and when you look up you see your speed... it is sick.

I have it mounted up high as possible to catch radar and will be picking up the Shifter ZR3 to go with it for laser protection...the 2 linked together is untouchable.(drinks)

I have a question with the conceiled display. i own a V1 in my Toyota Seqouia. I have had it for 5 years. We do not have the concieled display though.

But, with the conceiled display, where do you install the main unit? I was on their website, but it did not make any sense on where you put the main unit. DO you install it in the window, do you even need it, or can you put it somewhere else in the car?

You mount the V1 is high as possible to your right windshield. The concealed display goes down atop of of your steering column and lights up down there. This way, no one behind you can see your detectors lights up high, shining through the back window. They made this for people in VA and CT who arent allow to have detectors.

Detectors are legal in CT, have been for a few years.

I would have said that too 12 days ago, but now I'm headed to court on Wednesday because I didn't cough up the $399 when I had the chance...

I wish I was aware of this before I purchased my Escort X50 since i'm currently living in VA but oh well, the X50 is still a blast to use. (yes)

World`s best Radar detector

Bel STI Driver vs Valentine 1

Bel STI is the latest next generation and beats the V1 by a little bit so Bel is the best for now!!!

Make your own decision, but be careful putting all your trust in the guy that runs radartest.com. Besides, you can buy a Bel from that site and to me, that doesn't represent complete impartiality. But, read on...some interesting information.

Radar Detector Sabatoge!

Before someone responds with "So what" on the above link...do a little bit of research before posting. You may wonder what this is all about.

There does seem to be a lot of impartiality when it comes to some of the testing going on with radar detectors. Especially when you consider that the V1 is only available through their web site if bought new. That has put some resent in the detector market.

Ask yourself...why is it that over the years, the V1 is the detector that all other detector makers try to live up to? The V1 is updatable, of course for money as it is not free, so it is meeting new radar technologies developed. It is not a continued 1990's technology.
