Nice pics...
I went down and did the Sebring track event. I post some pics. My wife does not take good pics.
It was fun catching and passing a jetta 1.8T in the corners and passing them....

yea I will let everyone know, but chances are its going to be all mazda again. So no SRT :P

No love from the MSPers... Only 1, me. I saw some P5s, nice looking :D.

There were tons of Miatas, FDs, FCs, I think and even older one (were they called FBs?) and some RX8s.

The instructors had some other cars out:
EVO (with his brother in law)
Ferrari
M3

There was pretty big carnage. An FD was towed home. I agree with the lack of power, cause I was pulling away from a lot of cars from 8 to 11, but then it was over. 10 minutes into a session and I could barely pass a miata coming up the front straight.

Well all I have to say is ditto to everything Nate said. The protege's were definintely representing out there at the track by showing everyone what they can do, despite the fact that there were only about 6 total(5 wagons). I can definitely say that practice on the PS2 payed off. I know now that the miata enduro wasn't for naught. The protege's had the biggest problems of course on the straight and the first 4 turns where the track is the fastest. We were definitely owning some higher HP cars in the back stretches though. This makes for some frustrating situations where you tail a car for a whole lap only for him to get far in front of you going into turn 1. By the end of the day though people loosened up and wave-by's were a familiar sight. I only have a 56k so I'm not gonna do more than 3 pictures so here are a few I have that haven't been already posted.

Not much to say on this one except that that RX-8 stayed in my rear view. This one is not to be confused with another highly tuned yellow RX-8

Since these are of course still shots it is hard to see how hard these cars are getting pushed. To get an idea take a look at my accellerometer/parking permit around my rear view mirror. This kind of body roll with 6kg/mm spring rates (devil).

Yikes! Those pics are huge! Yet, so beautiful.

its interesting, its easyer in person, and a hell of a lot more fun (except turn 6 which is alot harder in real life)

(shocked)omg, taht is so awesome, i would love to go to a track like that...

how's all your tires???(lol2)

zmepro really has a point. IMO, the Corkscrew is the easiest corner on the track! Well, not really, but at least you're ready for it's trickiness. Turn 3(right after the hairpin) was the evil one for me...that's where I found our ol' friend oversteer. (shocked)
I absolutely LOVE turn 9 right after the 'screw, you can hit that sucka in 4th gear, feel the tail end begin to scream, stomp on the throttle, and just f-in' ROCKET out of it. Good fun...especially in a FWD car where oversteer isn't really a worry.

lol, My tires(Parada specII) gripped like a 13year old with a Hustler! I was really stoked on them until the end of the day when I noticed that they were melted...I mean literally melted. I'll post some pics of the (lack of) tread tomorrow.

I re-sized Andrew's pics because I was curious as to what they were pictures of. lol, j/k bro. :D
