Kyokugen and muteki

Anybody use these lug nuts. what are your thoughts and feelings on them good or bad. looking to purchase.

I wouldn't recommend Kyokugen. A friend of mine had them on his Integra and the tool that comes with it is cheaply made. He tired to remove them to change a flat and the tool cracked. Its very thin and long and can not take a lot of stress.

My Mutekis seem to be working fine. I've rotated my tires a few times with no problems. Much lighter than the stock lug-nuts, too. I figure I picked up about 15WHP or so. :D

Where did you get the Muteckis and how much lighter do you think they are than stock lug nuts.

Marcus

Thanks NJP5. What size lugnuts are they. Do we have the 12x1.5 (my guess) or the 12x1.25?

12x1.5 for our cars.
if you get them keep us informed. if i had the money id love to buy the rays lug nuts. they make some good stuff but at $110 its a steep price to pay for lugs and locks even though they are even lighter than the others. i might just buy the mutekis for $35 and see how they are.

From everything I've read/heard, Mutekis are fine, while Kyokugens are known for either the tool breaking or the nuts themselves stripping.

I have Muteki spline-drive nuts and they have always worked fine (knock on wood).

Muying Rays lugs is pretty stupid, unless you have loads of cash.

My thoughts exactly. :) I went to AutoRnD just to buy RAYS lugnuts, but when I had them in front of me I just couldn't do it. Both Muteki and RAYS weigh about the same(RAYS are a little lighter, but not much), but one costs over twice as much.
I'm as much of a JDM freak as the next guy, but for the money Mutekis work and look great.

Mine came with my rim/tire combo from auto RnD. I think they sell them for 35-40 bucks. I got the open ended (spline drive) lugs.

I too have the Muteki Spline Drive Lugs....i too got them from Rishie with my wheel/tire combo....I have never had a problem with them. I got the closed version since you can see the lugs on my wheels.

I to have Muteki's and you already know where I got them from. They are great looking and of course they are functional. Fortunately Natey was standing at the counter at AutoRnD when he purchased those lugs. So to NJ for shipping and Paypal it is 40$ shipped to your door. They are also currently in stock in black and polished.

Give us a email or pm to any of our reps. I'll get them to you out of state for $35.00 shipped. We're gonna begin our holiday specials anyways, this will fall in line with that.

Thanks, Rishie

Oh, I highly suggest muteki over the kyokugens. We have rounded the kyo key several times and then no remova tha lugnutta. Therefore we went to the splines where we haven't had these problems. Plus they're cheaper.

We have black open ended in stock always.
