Kurt Cobain

i understand i wasnt directing it towards you..i was directing it in general and you happend to be sensitive on the subject and im sorry...i am also opinionated on the subject...

like people that cried and cried over princess diana...who gives a flying ****! what did she do for us? her and her husband cheated on each other, what a great role model! or dale earnhardt (sp)...who gives a ****? many people die each day in car accidents that have contributed much more to society than that guy, yet i see people all the time with ******* tatoos of his face on their arm or his number on their back, like he gave them free cars and just didnt drive them on TV for christs sake.

why dont those people get tatoos of the soldiers that die for them everyday instead of some guy that drives around an oval track all day?

im sorry for the rant, i just ******* hate the public view on hollywood stars and other celeberties...what do they ******* do for society? like when they interview people who ACT in war movies and not the people who were in the war...who gives a flying **** what so and so actor has to say about a war he cant even comprehend or never even visited the country in which it takes place

or who gives a s*** what diet julia stiles is on or how kevin bacon *****. why are people so infatuated with normal everyday people?
I completely agree with you on this, I was just sensitive, because Kurt was a little different, more misunderstoof than the others. I do not know why people praise Dale, and not their fellow peoples, fighting and dying in unknown countries, to protect their freedom. You know something about this, and it really bothers me. Sure, maybe you aren't always fighting for the right reasons, but that fact that you are brave enough to face guns and killers to protect the inncent, really says something, and it pisses me off to see you all not appreciated as much as you should be.
Like there are people everyday dying in foreign countries for their people, but we must focus on some ******* MP or State Councellor who died of old age, and hang flags at half mast. Yeah, so some guy died, of cancer, of old age, who contributed dick all to society, but you fellow people are dying protecting your freedom, and you don't recognize them. Now, I don not agree with war, or terrorism, or violence, but I know that it must happen, to protect the freedom. Some people just don't realize that, and only follow what they see on the beloved Boob tube. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE

THESE COMMENTS ARE SOLEY MY PERSONAL OPINION OF A MAN I NEVER KNEW

a) Kurt Cobain was GREAT at doing what he did best: sucking it up. The music was so raw and bad, it was AWESOME. if you cant understand this, then you really don't get it. He didn't set out there to 'MAKE MUSIC' he went out to let off steam, just to rip it up.

b) all this suicide stuff is bulls***. if kurt did kill himself, why cant you cut him some slack? its not like you ******* knew the guy to judge him anyways...
1) have you ever been suicidal?
2) have you ever been placed in the position of indie punk rocker and then all of sudden judged as a ******* sell out by some two bit fuckwads?
3) peace love and empathy.....

c) kurt did not kill himself. yeah yeah , blah blah, evidence, blah blah... its just

d) in the end, it doesnt even matter. he tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end it didnt even matter.
I have been sucidal, which is why I am a little sensative about the matter, but realize it's not always the greatest idea, but You see my POV on the situation, he was living a life style he despised. So he ended it.

I'm going to play conspiracy therorist here and say that it was convienient for him to 'kill himself' because of what he would always say. "I hate myself and want to die" s*** man, i say s*** like that all the time, and im *not* about to kill myself. Ugh whatever, its just all bullhit. Dont judge the ******* guy, who cares, let the music take you away...

And honestly, i the attention should be shared between ALL THREE of the band members, not just Kurt. Thats kinda bulshit. My friend gave me a 'kurt cobain' tshirt, cuz he didnt want it anymore. I wrote NIRVANA on top and on the back it had kurts sig...so i wrote Dave and Krist's names underneath kurts. people think the shirt came like that....

u people dont understand about addiction and depression... kurt cobain had a depression and s for as everyone in this world is concerned about is "go get help and take more medicine"... thats what the media always drills through our heads... or if the person cannot get help their crazy.... depression cant be helped like that in some cases... kurt was getting help but couldnt find the right help.... yes it was wrong because he left his daughter to the craziest lady in the world but he probably thought he couldnt be the best job as a father and once a person has that in their mind on top of the depression they want nothing else but to just lose their lives... kurt did start something and billy corgan... music that connects to people and makes people think... beyond what the media and the politics wants us to think... the politics love musicians like britney and justin and all these sodapop music cause it doesnt question anything except when is the next time im getting laid and when the next time my bf/gf are going to dump me... kurt and billy and pearl jam and s.t.p and all those guys made music that made u think about society and real life situations.... kurt wasnt a god but he connected with teenages of that time... when teenages only had music to run to.... him taking his life wasnt for fame in my opinion it was an illness that he just couldnt live with anymore which is extremely hard... nobody will ever understand except the person whose suffering.... kurt always said he was never a secure person... kurt is places with many historic musicians... the beatles... black sabbath.... musicans that created something different... look at how people reacted to kurt cobains death... the same way our parents reacted to john lennon's death.... history repeats itself and i think people today are waiting for that kurt that john that billy and that pearl jam.... look how much music has become a puppet for the media.... music needs to go back to its roots and we're waiting for it.... no more of these stupid sodapop music.... thats my two cents!

When I first heard that Kurt died, I have to be honest and tell you that i didn't give a s***. I just though he was another junkie who wasted a one in a million chance to live the life of a rock star. Our slogan was "Nirvana's dead. Shave your head."

Ten years later, I can see his contribution to our generation by way of his music, and I can also see the sheer genius in songwriting. I truely believe that the music we listen to on the radio today would sound different if he'd have got some kind of help. We lost a great musician when he died.

With that said, if anyone you know is on heroin, please be understanding and help them to kick it. I personally have lost more than one friend to that s***, and I wish I would/could have done something to help.

good post chicana. emphasis on the music is KEY
My god this is so weird. I was just gonna post something.

I am so mad today. I was listening to a radio station here in mass WAAF And their DJ was like

Yeah we played 2 nirvana songs for you. They are great. And then he goes -
Yeah people say nirvana changed the way the music idustry behaves these days. Some even say Kurt was a voice of the entire generation - like any typical Hair Band - (ARGH WTF) but it gets better. Then he goes I would hate to think that kurt was a voice of my generation since he was JIST A JUNKIE WHO OFFED HIMSELF AND LEFT HIS DAUGHTER BEHIND). ******* Moron.

I think Kurt "OFFED HIMSELF" Becuse there is too many ******* morons like that DJ in the world that think that nirvana was a hair band. That's not what nirvana was about. A lot of people din't and don't know that. Kurt and nirvana were a true voice of the generation and did change the way music is thought off these days. Nirvana Was Is and will always be great, and that is not just comming from a huge Nirvana Fan but a person who likes to think he knows what they stood behind.

RIP Dear Kurt Donald Cobain. Dont let those morons bother you.

Kurt Cobain is a no talent ass clown who took all the credit for creating a rock revolution just because he killed himself. He even said himself that he stole all his ideas from the Pixies. Just because the music industry tells you he's an icon doesn't mean you should worship him. If you want someone from that era to look up to, then it should be Billy Corgan. He's gotten tonnes of slack from the industry because he's always being creative. Its bulls***. All Nirvana songs sound the same. Sorry but i really hate the guy. I hate it when rock stars kill themselves because of their inflated egos(blah) Thats just my two cents
 Believe me he hates you back

Kurt was a tortured soul, but his music spoke to people...BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF ****** UP PEOPLE OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was great singer and an awesome song writer....don't believe me listen to "Something in the way" where he talks about how he used to live under a bridge. In Kurt's mind home was in his music, and hey, a lot of people must have liked it enough to sell millions of albums. Put it this way, music saved his life...without it he would have never been able to help create rock and roll history!!

I remember when Nevermind came out and blew the rest of those half-assed Seattle grunge bands out in to the Puget where they belonged...well except for Alice.

I still find it hard to believe that only three guys could create that loud of music and is still still a powerfull influence today....uuuuhhh lets see here Korn, Staind, Tool, etc.

Do your self a favor and listen to the brutal irony that this guy once lived in the song "You know you're right"..." Things have never been so swell, I have never been so well...Pain...." It was the last track Kurt ever recorded.

R.I.P. Kurt!

Btw, Matthew who pissed in your cornflakes this morning, geezzzzzzzzz!

kurt was all about music... he (actually im going to change it to nirvana cause it was a band inspiration) nirvana was there for generation x and the beatles were there for the baby boomers... we (generation x) needed something in music (which is a huge influence in people in the past, present and future) to go to went we're depressed or picked on... instead of putting the anger on people nirvana, s.t.p, smasking pumpkins help generation x hear the musicians anger and made them think " hey actually its not all that bad" and they're in tuned with the music and forget their anger... nirvana inspired alot of people and the ones that didnt just didnt think beyond the hair or the drugs or whatever... thats what u needed to do with all those bands... u had to think and relate if u could.... im glad generation x got to experience music like our parents did.... with so many great past musicians!

Just some nirvana related stuff currently in my room. The last pic is my homemade Nirvana Hoody

Regardless of his muical talents, I have no respect for someone who takes thier own life. Sorry to anyone who had a loved one commit suicide, but that is my personal opinion.

He was a sick man. I am sick too. I have serious depression problems. I mean serious. I'd know why someone would kill himself.

(we don't even know if he did kill himself)

Maybe all you can say, is that one of the most influetnion people in music was lost....like so many before. John Lennon, Lynard Skynard, 2pac, Biggie, the list goes on,
How about Marvin Gaye? Stevie Ray Vaughn? Randy Rhoads? Cliff Burton? Bob Marley? John Bonham? Truly talented musicians who DIDN'T KILL THEMSELVES?

(Well ok, Bonzo drank himself to death.........)

u may not have respect for someone who kills themselves but what would u rather have someone whose living a life full of suffering and sadness or someone well be better by just ending their lives.. NOW dont get me wrong im not for suiside but ive had people in my family who were really close commit suiside and i was angery and full of hate but i have to realize that they are hurting and the more they live the more they hurt and thats what happened with kurt he just could be happy... even with his daughter and fame it just didnt do anything what he thought it would do.. kurt didnt want fame he hated it... he dispised fame and fortune which made him more depressed... oh and sidpro5 bob marley did kill himself... by a drug overdose remeber!!

Depends on which conspiracy theorists you follow..............lol
My point was, there are far better musicians to mourn the loss of, in my opinion.

i am getting chills from the educated posts and getting really frustrated with the ignorant ones. This is just too frustrating. It's OK to dislike somebodies music, It's not OK to trash it, Especially on a day like this. I am outta here.
once again

RIP Kurt Cobain
