Kurt Cobain

he was so cool, makes me want to shoot myself in the face. damn what a loser. didn't care enough about his daughter to not do that. **** him
Maybe he did care about his daughter alot. Maybe he was aware that his drug problem would plauge his daghters life...maybe the skank Courtney killed him. YOU CANNOT JUDGE FROM THE OUTSIDE IN, all you can say, is that one of the most influetnion people in music was lost....like so many before. John Lennon, Lynard Skynard, 2pac, Biggie, the list goes on, there are alot of talented and influentional musicians out there, all in the their own distinct category, these are just a few off the top of my head. Respect the dead, especially when they are as great of a person as Kurt Cobain was, despite his tragic addiction to drugs.

respect the dead when they dont kill themselves. maybe the b**** did shoot him, who knows. she should die either way, and when she does, dont respect her.

**** people who commit suicide. i hope they get ***** by the devil.
Maybe you don't realize what it is like to be suicidal, you don't know how sometimes the preassures of life can take their toll on a life. I have seen it before, and its easy to say **** people who commit suicide, until you have been in the situation, you see it as him being a coward, I see it differently. Maybe you should live you live in his shoes for a day, and see how hard it can be emotionally. You prolly have no ******* clue what it's like to be suicidal do you? I take serious offense to that, as I have lost friends to it, and was there once myself. Is it wrong, yes, but is it always the persons choice to be screwed over in life so much, that they think the only way out is suicide, no. SO **** off man. Seriously, you obviously have no clue what it's like.

whatever man. if you cant take life to the point of suicide, you are pathetic. life is not that difficult...people live on the streets for their whole life with a box to live in, and yet people with millions of dollars and a family who needs them, at least emotionally, decide to kill themselves because its just too hard on them.

boy i feel real bad...lets see, he could have got out of show business and if he wasnt such a dumbass lived off what he already made, or got himself some ******* help with the drug addiction, but instead he kills himself. you make it sound like its honorable thing to do.

what a loser.

An addiction to drugs can be a hard thing for a person to escape. Not everyone is a tough as you matt, some people aren't the strongest emotionally and mentally and such, and the addiction to drugs, is their only escape from the horrible reality of liffe they are forcecd to live. Do I think that it was smart of him to kill himself, no, but you gotta realize, that there where probably a s*** load of reasons for what he did, that none of us will ever realize. Don't judge others, lest you be judged.

Curt is the win!! Nothing beats the unplugged album. Whoknows what music would be like today without him. Probably not as cool.

Why must there always be flamers for EVERYTHING!!! The ******* guy died, let him rest in peace. He was probably the most important musician of the 90s, he was able to relate to what millions of disaffected young people were feeling at the time and Nirvana was a kick ass band that will hold up 20, 50 years from now much like the Beatles because they played music, not the pre-manufactured bulls*** we're getting stuffed down our throat these days. RIP Kurt Cobain, you left us too early.

not to mention, nothing says you cant change your life. so its hard emotionally, boo ******* hoo. change your job..ditch your wife, change your profession. move to a different state. check yourself into rehab...stop doing concerts and other publicity related things....everyone has the power to change their life, regardless of the situation there are ALWAYS alternative choices!

whatever man...there is help out there, and with all his goddamn money he could have had the best rehab in the WHOLE ******* WORLD. there are people with NOTHING who have NO ONE and have the presence of mind to help themselves out. and were supposed to feel bad and cry because some dumb **** decides to kill himself rather than living with the harsh life of a multimillionare and father? if anything you should be so smart as to live for your daughter...but he abandoned her too, but its a good thing he made good music!

You are reading it wrong, I do not think what he did was the right thing to do, it's just hard to say that it was wrong, considering that we have not lived in his position. Life can be hard on the mind for some people. SOme people are very strong emotionally, others are not. He probably only saw the bad things in his life due to his drug addiction(which didn't really help), and didn't realize all that he had going for him, you know? I am in no way nobleizing suicide, it's a horrible thing, that with the right attitude and support can be helped. The thing is, not eveyone wants help.

Sorry to disagree with you matt, do not take this personally, we just have two clashing opinions here...ok. PS. good luck with getting the rest of you turbo working. I'm just trying to help you see the other side of the story, you know?

I realize this, it's just you're making him out to be some monster, he tried so hard in his life to make his family happy, and couldn't. He tried to make millions of people happy, he did, but he cared about his family, and he was unable to make them happy. Courtney ruined his life, and he was unable to see the fact, that he had a lovely daughter who needed him. His mind was jaded with drugs, and hate, and depression. Three bad ingredients, leading to suicide. I'm just saying, don't be so hard. It was wrong, but it could have been worse. ok.

I respect him as an artist and his influences on rock but I was never really a fan. I did own his unplugged CD but I never really listened to it. I was into that scene at the time and I really liked the other Seattle grung like Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam

i understand i wasnt directing it towards you..i was directing it in general and you happend to be sensitive on the subject and im sorry...i am also opinionated on the subject...

like people that cried and cried over princess diana...who gives a flying ****! what did she do for us? her and her husband cheated on each other, what a great role model! or dale earnhardt (sp)...who gives a ****? many people die each day in car accidents that have contributed much more to society than that guy, yet i see people all the time with ******* tatoos of his face on their arm or his number on their back, like he gave them free cars and just didnt drive them on TV for christs sake.

why dont those people get tatoos of the soldiers that die for them everyday instead of some guy that drives around an oval track all day?

im sorry for the rant, i just ******* hate the public view on hollywood stars and other celeberties...what do they ******* do for society? like when they interview people who ACT in war movies and not the people who were in the war...who gives a flying **** what so and so actor has to say about a war he cant even comprehend or never even visited the country in which it takes place

or who gives a s*** what diet julia stiles is on or how kevin bacon *****. why are people so infatuated with normal everyday people?

THESE COMMENTS ARE SOLEY MY PERSONAL OPINION OF A MAN I NEVER KNEW

a) Kurt Cobain was GREAT at doing what he did best: sucking it up. The music was so raw and bad, it was AWESOME. if you cant understand this, then you really don't get it. He didn't set out there to 'MAKE MUSIC' he went out to let off steam, just to rip it up.

b) all this suicide stuff is bulls***. if kurt did kill himself, why cant you cut him some slack? its not like you ******* knew the guy to judge him anyways...
1) have you ever been suicidal?
2) have you ever been placed in the position of indie punk rocker and then all of sudden judged as a ******* sell out by some two bit fuckwads?
3) peace love and empathy.....

c) kurt did not kill himself. yeah yeah , blah blah, evidence, blah blah... its just

d) in the end, it doesnt even matter. he tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end it didnt even matter.

agreed. but the thing about music is that you can personally intertwine it with your emotions. you always remember the music. its something you never let go and it strikes a chord and sends an impulse to your brain. i feel very strongly about music...its not just notes but a tool to communicate emotions with.
