KOYO Racing Aluminum performance radiator for Mazda2

Talked to the my mechanic about this upgrade, he has used them before on SRT4's , no big difference and also adds weight to the front of the nose since in his case they carry more water.

The A/C delete bracket/pulley is part#Z601-15-930A and should be available anywhere as the part is used in Canada on stock cars is seems. The pulley keeps the stock size belt.

Awesome! Thanks Derrick! Now I wonder if the oil cooler has a standard part number like the A/C Delete pulley?

It does actually. There are some coolant lines which go with it too which I will post up.

Here is the parts list

ZYH6-14-700 cooler
BP4W-10-319 filter stud

I have to ask the question, but why are you putting the factory oil cooler on the car? If anything it will make your coolant temps higher since it has to cool the oil. If you are concerned with coolant temps then do a air to oil cooler. That way the cooler oil should have some cooling effect on the engine without stressing the coolant system more.

Yes I know that the cooler will probably be located in front of the AC condenser and radiator so that won't work as well, but still I don't think the factory oil cooler is the way to go.

I did just have another thought though. From your avatar pic I see you have a front license plate. I would take that off. That will make a big difference in cooling having that on there.

I would like to go with an air to oil cooler but all I can find is universal oil coolers and I haven't been able to find one that is compatible with the Mazda2.

As for the license plate. I learned to remove it before I hit the track. It does help with cooling and after looking at it for a while the license plate covers a good portion of the front grill.

The one ZPS posted it good, pretty much any miata kit should do the trick since the filter mounting is on the front of the block in the 2.

Well, I thought that as well, but the ones for a Miata where the oil lines come out from the side will not work. I looked at the oil filter my last change and there is not that much room around the outside of the filter. So the flat bosses would stick out and hit the oil pan if you tried to screw it on. That is where I thought of the oil filter relocation kits where the oil lines come out the same direction as the filter. That you should be able to screw on easily.

The oil filter thread size is M20x1.5, so a universal oil filter with an adapter M20x1.5 should fit.
