Point of curious information, folks-- I was just reading a bit about the cheesy Kia Sephia, and I learned that the engine used in it is a Mazda derived 1.8.
This doesn't vindicate Kia for lousy products (nor does it make Mazda look good, in my opinion), but I found it interesting, nonetheless.
Why Mazda would allow themselves to be involved in such disgusting products I don't know. The Sephia (which they now call the Spectra in an effort to fool people into thinking it's a different car) is one of the worst vehicles ever made.
