Um... who cares? How in any way does this affect your Protege/Protege5? Companies making parts for other companies and sharing platforms has been a long-standing practice: Dodge Stealth/Mitsu 3000GT, Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo, Eagle Talon/Mitsu Eclipse, etc etc.

The things people get worked up about...

well at least the Spectra5 isn't a blatant badge engineering clone of the Protege5 (e.g. they don't actually share any real parts, they just look very similar in design)

more like knockoff copies, like Rota wheels, lol

and no one complains about Rota making knockoffs from Racing Hart, OZ Racing, etc (crazy)

I actually think it will be a good seller. I read in the current SS issue that there might be a supercharged version on the Spectra5.
