keyless entry ?

I broke my keyless remote and my friend happen to have 1 laying around but its from a mazda 3. Would this remote work with protege if so any how to on it thanks

I'm thinking there's a difference between the 3 remotes and the proteges but I don't remember what it is, someone else might be able to chime in and say the difference. I bought an extra protege remote off of ebay and paid like $18 shipped.

yea thats wat im thinking but if you go on ebay it says that the remotes are for protege and mazda 3
