Previous owner probably wore jewelry and car was most likely parked in sun?...........that'll do it. Mine's garaged at home and work and I wear no jewelry so mine looks all fresh and minty like the one in the pic above. Contact scratchnsniff (member on here that is one man protg parts house) for a fresher wheel.

I'll be sure to do that! I love the original look and haaaate having a cheap cover over it. Maybe he'll have a gearstick too, that part has also seen finer days.

thats the piece! I finally figured it out! There is an open slot beneath the bulb between the socket and the bottom plastic piece for the steering wheel which it slides right into! thanks everyone for your help!!!
