key fob not working

I have replaced the battery in my 2008 key fob, but still no response on ingnition, door locks etc... the red light on the fob flashes, but nothing will operate... do I have to reprogram?

For only a little more money, you can get the dealer to program a fob. That ad is so badly written, I wouldn't trust it. "... could support English ..."? I doubt changing the fob battery caused the problem anyway. After all, it's the car learning the fob, not the other way 'round. I ask again, "Red light on the fob"?
