never seen one in a p5. i think it would look excellent. almost bought this for my msp.

if you look around there are pics from a while back from the japanese mazda site where they had a pic of the p5 with the OEM navi system they had available. It looked excellent (obviously...it was OEM) but this kenwood unit really struck me when it was first announced as having a nice relatively oem look so im sure it would be great.

I have the ddx8017 in my P5. Let me see if I can dig up any pics of it. Worst case, i'll take some tonight. It looks sweet! I also have the nav, a 10 disc changer and a 10w6v2 in sport20's custom box. All powered by a JL 500/5 with MB Quart premiums up front, discus in back.

edit. Just realized I have to change my sig :)

alright cool so i will be waiting on those pics.... but you did mention that you also had a cd changer.... my question is does the cd changer have to be kenwood to match the radio or any cd changer will do??? asking cuz a buddy of mine told me that kenwood radios would only match kenwood cd changers........

I'll have to get the pics over the weekend. My camera is messed up.

I don't know about the changer thing...I've only ever had Kenwood. The changers on ebay are pretty cheap. I actually have 3 of them and can hook 2 up in a daisy chain, but I haven't built a spot for the second one in my trunk yet. The one I have in my trunk now plays mp3's which is a must. Also, the head unit can play mp3's that are burned to a DVD!! That's like 4.6gigs of music from one dvd. That's around 1,000 songs. It's awesome.

Not the same model but here's what it'll look like...
