It certainl should.
There should be no differences!

You could find out by calling any Mazda dealer and checking if they use the same part numbers for the factory filter.

i thought it would too but i was on the K&N website, and i pulled up the Mazda 3. The Parts it showed for the 2004 didnt come up when i searched for the 2005 and the 2006.

They probably just haven't updated their web site. The intake systems on these cars haven't changed since release.
