DAMN
^ first impression
then i realized what you guys were talking about with the clutch, its so finnicky, and the catch point is on like a hair line. Does the clutch adjustment fix it a lot?

Also, it was extremely revv happy, most likely compliments of the 6 speed.

I drove the mustang GT afterwards, and it seemed to sound faster, but feel slower, even though it is faster, probably becuase of the MS6's revv happiness.

I don't know which way to go, i know this is an MS6 forum but input anyone? anybody regreting it?

also how is the 6 speed treating you on the daily? im gonna be driving almost exclusivly in the city... so anyone with that criteria, does it get to be a pest shifting constantly?

thanks- Lester

It really depends on what you want out of it. The MS6 is a comfy, yet fast car. If you aren't planning on going hardcore on modifications, then you might want to just go with the 6.

If you want to go all out, a Mustang is a great platform. The modular motor has loads of potential, and they are actually very well-built cars.

well i dont plan to do anything at the moment, but i know that wil change when i get the car. But i also have a project car in my garage (1989 mustang lx hatchback) recieving a 6.7L 408 windsor with well over 500 hp. So, the most modifications i will be doing to it is intake/exhaust/tune.

My problem right now is the cost. Mustangs are everywhere used and can be found in the 10-20 thousand range, which i can afford. Every MS6 i have looked at is well up near 30 grand, even for the sport, and used ones are nowhere to be found.

you can get the clutch replaced. do a TSB search on the clutch. everyone...EVERYONE who has had this done likes the clutch. truth is, I also considered buying a mustang, then again, everyone has a mustang.

i'm leaning more and more towards the mazda, and its actually on top of my list and is my top pick. Unfortunatly i can't afford the 29K sticker price of even the sport model, and i have yet to find one used.

can anybody help me out with that? i need to find a used one, preferably low 20's.

I feel you, I was looking for a used one for a long time, I finally found a sport with 4800 miles and got it for 20k out the door......... :)

Took me about a year as well, lol.

where are you located?

Have you checked autotrader.com, cars.com, vehix.com & autoshoppermagazine.com?

yeah, do some shopping, you can easily get deals on these things.

The mustang is a car with lots of potential. Too me is but f'n ugly stock, but with a wheel change, body kit it can be sexy as hell.

i was looking at mustangs too, but as soon as i was looking into them a lot of people bought them. i saw a couple videos with the speed and the gt racing and the speed pretty much tore it up 0-60, maybe cause of the all wheel drive. when i test drove the speed 6 though and felt all the boost pushing me back, i had to have it. plus it picks up mad girls ;)

sorry to get off topic, but what kinda car is that in your avatar Dmx? It looks like a modified MS6 almost.

Looks nice.......we don't get that here do we? I'm thinking Australia.

That is correct. One of the many fun cars ford deprives us off. Its not a bad looking ride at all.

when I think about it it seems to share a lot of body lines with the MS6......very nice, I know I wish we could get the Vauxhall Monaro (better looking Pontiac GTO)

and according to Ford Australia...... the Falcon XR6 (turbo charged inline 6) is pumping out 245 kW of power (about 330 hp)

Damn imagine the MS6 with the v6 and turbocharged :(

I got my 06 GT new, for 25K out the door and that include my loss on my trade in.

Well, I assume you didn't get that deal in June of 2006 when the car was truly new in the market. Any kind of deal like that will have to mean leftover model you bought in late 06, early 07, therefore they had to reduce the price on an already depreciating car. I can't see an 07 GT selling for anywhere near 25k out the door right now, because it's still only mid way through 2007. Perhaps if by Spring of next year they still have 07s in the lot, then it's possible. They also likely produced far less in 07 (less colors), so the deals like you got were likely a one time deal on an over produced MY with massive incentives in order to sell them.

Still though, I think well below invoice is definitely doable on an 07, so an 07 Speed 6 sport should be easy to come by at $25k, either right now, or very soon. ;)
