2004 Mazdaspeed MX5/2007 Mazdaspeed3
Hey all. Just joined up because my father picked up a 2007 MS3 GT in black mica last week. I had a 92 Protege LX for a lot of years, and now have a 2004 MSM, and I've been talking up the MS3 to him for a little while (and in fact have been considering replacing/supplementing my MSM with an MS3), so my Mazda roots run deep.... He'll be adding the CAI fairly soon, and was considering the full suspension setup, but is probably gonna wait on that for a bit.

The discussions of failing transmission mounts and ECU software updates are interesting, and the array of mods already available (FMIC, XEDE) are really encouraging. I'll probably have more questions after I dig around some more to see if they've been answered, and once I get some more info from him about his build-date and so on.

I can't wait to get some seat time in this monster, and I'm looking forward to finding out more about it.

Yours in zoom-zoom,
Chris

welcome, glad your here. Search threads for MS3 all the info you need, and some you probably dont want.

Good luck getting seat time. It's so much fun to drive that your Father will probably be driving it too much for you to have your chance!!! LOL. J/K. Welcome!

Welcome..
Save yourself some time and just go get your own now..:)

JAJA, thats some good advice. Welcome, after reading this threads for a couple of days your gonna get your own ms3 for sure. (drinks)

Y'all may be right about me getting my own, but we'll see. On the assumption that I don't really need a 2nd car (I don't), and don't really have a place to put one (ditto) I have to be careful to drive an MS3 only when I can climb back into my MSM and put the top down; top-down motoring is a drug as addictive as horsepower (which I've got plans to add to the MSM in abundance).

He'll be good about seat time, btw, even if he *hadn't* already had so much time in my MSM.... :) I can't wait!

Thanks again.
