Just picked up MS3 tonight!

:
2014 Mazda CX-5 GT w/ Tech
Went to the local Walnut Creek, CA dealership to just "look and sit" in it.
The wife fell in love (it's her car anyways) and they wanted $2500 over MSRP but said that if we put a deposit down we could have any one we wanted in 3 months...she said..."too bad, I want this kind...Silver, GT, with NAV...we can wait that way we can pay MSRP...

they had a brief meeting and told us to drive away in this one tonight if we gave them MSRP...we did!

WooHoo...I have to follow her in our 2004 Mazda3...I am going to bed and still haven't even driven it (except to park it in the garage...)

DAMN IT IS AWESOME...

BOSE system (even though I have the Bose company...SOUNDS AWESOME
Seats...AWESOME
Exhaust sound...uhhh..sounds like an STi...seriously...AWESOME

Best of all, a pretty hot chick came in the same time as us and since it was closing time they worked her a deal on one of those limited edition STi's and we all drove off together...didn't even get her name...my wife thinks it was Kristen...(yes she was hot, yes she was young, and yes it was her CAR!!!) And she paid $34,000! and my wife hated the STi because she has a weird NO WAY policy to any car with "hood scoops"

lol at the hood scoop ban...

congrats on the new car! Maybe if you're nice, the wifey will let you drive it every now and then haha jk

Nor Cal Mp3: Congrats on the MS3. I sat in your car the day it came in. Mine is due in 2 to 3 weeks. Glad to hear they gave it to you at MSRP since the guy who put the deposit on it was paying MSRP. What other fees did they charge you and did you get the extended warranty?

Congratulations on your purchase. You are gonna love it.

R

Not sure what out the door was, but I am guessing at $28,340.

No extended warranty, and no sale hassles...

I'm off to take some pics right now...at least in the garage...

Well just the update of the century:
Saturday morning, while noticing the new car smell, I decided to open the right rear door in the garage to air it out.
Well, somewhere between there and the driver's seat, I forgot to close it, and didn't notice till I backed up Tommy Boy style and ruined my right rear door.
I have never done anything so stupid in a car before, let alone to a car 1.5 days old.
Anyways, the door still closes, just totally messed up and not weather proof anymore.
The car rocks the house. The power delivery is amazing.
The power reduction in first and second gear sucks, but oh well.
The brakes and sound system still are great, seats are fantastic.
Biggest issue is the WRX losers trying to constantly race on the freeway.
