Just Installed Protege Garage's Custom Short Ram Intake

quick pics i snapped of the black powder coated PG SRI! props to Ken! i will post up some proper pics of the install and some vids when i get a chance. more than likely it will be tomorrow.

again, Ken is the man!

thanks kendon

I have a problem with the SRI from PG. Quick installed it, made sure everything was connected, including all sensors, wires. Started it up and my check engine light is on. Ideas? Suggestions?

something has to be loose. did u disconnect the battery while installing it? if not, i would do so. other than aforementioned, i'm not sure what else it could be.

Looks great kendon. Definitely need to see pics of it installed! :) Is there any chance the PC on the MAF sensor area would screw with fitment/reading? I doubt it, but you never know. I love that stealth black look.

In regards to the code thrown, all you need to do is reset the intake sensor. Just unplug the batter for 5 minutes and recon. Works fine and sounds great. The forge bpv is about 3 times as loud now. Gunna change to the middle spring setting now.

no chance of that happening. the MAF filament drops down about two inches into the pipe for its reading.

the vid is currently uploading on youtube and i will post it when it finishes. i'll do an install w/ pics when the tip comes in and clean my engine bay. again, Ken is the man!

Hmmm $200 for both the SRI and turbo inlet tube, I might just change my order from the Cobb SRI to this, since the Cobb SRI is on backorder.
Ken I sent you and email in regards to how long the backorder for the SRI that I ordered, so you got a PM in regards to changing my order up.

Looks like the filter Ken bundled it with fits pretty snugly, and the optional larger one may not fit. Kendon, would there be room in your bay for a longer filter? (thanks for the pics and vid BTW)

It also looks like it's in the perfect spot and he's gotten it as far as possible away from the hot engine. Great looking piece, now I just have to decide if I'd want the black PC or shiny original.

order changed, thanks again (drinks)

there is plenty of room for a larger filter. i kept the shots for the pics tight due to my engine bay looking like ass right now.

So it would be $225 for the TIP and SRI w/ bigger filter and powder coated?

Thats a pretty good deal. I may be purchasing this in the near future..
