I just own all the regular albums. I love all their songs! RUSH is my fav band, since 1978! I actually took up bass guitar (then realized I would never be as good as Geddy) because of RUSH. I just picked up Feedback. Some decent covers on it. I hope they put out another album soon. I dread the day they call it quits.

I have all their albums, except...

Chronicles
Vapor Trails
And the latest with the (cover songs) album.

and the DVD: "Rush in Rio" is fantastic!!!

But still; I have not seen them in concert. Never in the right place at the right time!

Funny thing! In the 70s, I couldn't stand Geddy Lee's voice. Now; I own most of the albums, and really like them all. Although; I prefer early 80s to present, more than the very early albums. But; I do like them. I guess, I became a fan when I first heard "Signals" (1982).

Geddy was originally not meant to be lead vocalist. But they couldnt find anyone in time to record their first album so he did the tracks and they decided to keep him in that role. I think his voice suits the band. Alot of people dont care for him as a vocalist but I can think of a few other bands with vocalists that I dont like which are popular.
I am glad they dropped their original drummer. He was very mediocre and the band would never have become what it is without Peart. I enjoy all their albums, some more than others, but I never tire of listening to RUSH.

Someone got in the car one time, looked at the stereo and said...

"COOL STEREO, I got to hear this CD"....and he takes out some RUSH CD.

I told him if you even think of sticking that in my car, you take the damn cd and get out of the car. He didn't think I was serious until I stopped the car, got up, and opened the door for him :) He was an asshole friend of a friend anyways, it was kind of nice to have an excuse.

Another Band I hate with ALL my heart.... Great Big Sea. Funny thing is, their a Newfoundland band.

Attention all haters......please proceed to the nearest MSP vs SRT-4 thread immediately! :D
:D

Let's see... My favorite 'rock' bands 'during' the 70s were:

ELP
Supertramp
Renaissance
Alan Parsons Project
Triumvirat
Carpenters (of course)
Pink Floyd
Yes
Heart
Pat Benatar
Fleetwood Mac

In the 80s; they all hold true, but add RUSH to the list! (thumb)

...along with...

Robin Trower
Asia
OMD

You know what, you guys don't have to like Rush, but you definitely have to respect their talent. There are only 3 members in that band, and they are so talented with so many different instruments at once...
