Just got my license back after 3 months suspension!

Lets just say I went way to fast and i got my license back today...ive was suspended for 3 months so my 08 MS3 was sitting in my parking useles. Ive used it 3 time under heavy rain to get to work but I walked all the other time since its only 15 mins walk. I also did let my friend drive it on more then a few occasion. But still it was painfull.

Tonight I burned half a tank going around. Had a great time..

Ill be driving safe now, just wanted to shared with you guys...

Any of you got a huges ticket or got suspended? My ticket was 1015$ and 14 points...

now u learned. my s*** was suspended for year and half over some dumb s***. but i still drive for work purpose with my dad's carmry(u know it auto). but after license suspended i totally learn how to drive safe and responsble.spended a year without no citation and finally a suprise from the mail. (MVA send me my full driver 's license), be4 i was still provisional license for 5 years!!! yeah i was so excited. just let ya'll know even though we own a speed car, but it doesnt mean we need to speed, u cant fcuk with the law that just gonna get urself into trouble!!!!!

got a ticket for reckless driving, i was skidding in an empty parking lot making a movie, someone didn't like that. I left and saw 2 cops behind me, pulled me over. Got a $300 fine, 5 points and an automatic 6 month suspension. Blah Blah Blah i have court on December 9th...

i was stupid and got a street racing ticket about 6 years ago. cost me $1106, 6 months informal probation and alot higher insurance. havent had a ticket since.

here in texas, at least in the larger cities, they have really cracked down on the street racing. heavy fines, license suspensions, etc. back in my very fast chevy nova days, we always met up somewhere, way out of the way, but the import guys would just throw down wherever.

lining them up on some deserted back country road is one thing.... racing down a crowded boulevard is something entirely different.



i think it's cool that you guys posted this. i hate that you got your lics suspended. i think that crap is too severe.... just a good fine, and go on your day. kids gotta work, dammit. a good fine, and your insurance is gonna go up so much anyway. how is a chap gonna pay all that if he can't drive?

i'm old enough now so that if they pull me over would probably just say, 'what the hell are you doing? you're too old for this s***. now look i'm gonna give you one for just 10 over......'

Just by the spelling, tone and horrendous grammar used in some of these replies it is apparent that some people need their licenses revoked...
Anyone who is stupid enough to put others in danger by street racing or exceeding triple digits on public roads deserves the punishment they get, or worse. I am all for a 3-strikes style law when it comes to reckless driving/endangerment.
yes i have had speeding tickets, but never anything more extreme then that.

here in ontario just recently there was a 62 year old lady who was passing someone on a small two lane highway she was clocked at 50 kms an hour over the speed limit which is 80 km/h the cop got her car towed and revoked her license and the officer just left the lady on the side of the road with no cell phone. and now they government is looking in to the law and possibly making some changes to it. in my town the police here have no respect for anyone. and sorry for the run on sentence lol

We tend to show people the same respect they show for society and laws. Go 80mph in a 50mph zone, putting other drivers at risk, and you get what you deserve, little-old-lady or not.

They're getting rid of our bad 50km+ law soon.. Too many Americans are getting pinched up here. I understand if you're going 90km in a 40 school zone, by all means take their licence away. But 150km on a highway, get the **** out of here

In 2004 I got whacked for 92 in a 45 (I had gotten up to 105 but was decelerating when I got clocked). It wasn't a pleasant experience. Ticket was 500, lawyer was 750, 3 months restricted license (work, school, doctor). Without a lawyer I woulda gotten 1 year in pound-me-in-the-ass prison. To say the least that was my last ticket. Hopefully ever.

My worst ticket was 93-55, construction zone... on my then CBR600F3. That was 14yrs ago. Fine was $375x2. No suspensions. Guess judgments weren't so harsh back then?

The only ticket I've gotten was for 44 in a 30, and IMO the road should be at least 40 in the first place. That aside, the cop was a real tool about it. I was coming home after a late basketball practice in HS, and our house was on pretty quiet, somewhat windy back roads. When he's standing there talking to me, he says he wants to let me off but he can't because he got called out there for street racing, so he has to write me a ticket. Biggest crock of s*** ever, because 1) how am I supposed to be racing all by myself and 2) nobody is stupid enough to race on a road that small and windy. Wound up getting it dropped to a seatbelt violation or something, so I only paid like $80, and no points because it no longer counted as a moving violation. Then the next month he comes up to me during a time out when I'm in the middle of playing in a very close basketball game (he was working as security that night for the game) and pretends I'm his best friend. Week after that, he let my ex gf off with a warning doing the exact same speed in a 30mph zone.

Unnecessarily long story, but I thought the whole situation was just really wierd. Then again, it's the only ticket story I have for you guys, except the time a cop let me off with a warning for driving with almost no exhaust system at all after my entire exhaust from the cat back had fallen off because the clamps had all rotted away...
