Just Got A Carbon Fiber Evo Hood From CARBONFIBERONE.com

I just got the hood on friday. i got it from these guys www.carbonfiberone.com and I LOVE it . i love the looks and i like how it keeps the engine bay MUCHHH cooler, after a 2 hour drive in the traffic in 80 degrees weather, the hot IC pipe was still cool.
I was goin to get the VIS hood but I HATE those fake side vents that it has, and ive heard good and bad stuff about there hoods. I also chose this one cuz its made in usa and they are the people who made the hoods for Wings West.

very good looking, whats your opinion on the build quality? i noticed you didn't have hoodpins, is that a temporary thing or are you confident enough in the latch? and if you dont mind me asking, what did you pay for it shipped to your door?

i dont have hood pins on my cf hood!
does move a little but i drive 80 everyday! good so far!

No hood pins. the latch looks just like the stock hoods and i took it up to 90mph and the hood doesnt move at all .. so i think ill be ok I HOPE . I picked it up. they actually put it on for me. and i got a really good deal on it... lets just say i got it for cheaper then retail price

haha i knew someone was gona say that. well it could be adjusted to fit better... im just enjoying the vents now .. they made the mold for WW. And also im not that picky cuz u cant really see it unless u stare at it.

cool, glad to hear your happy with your purchase, i think it looks awesome, congrats again (thumb)... i suppose i'll have to just buck up and actually do the leg work to figure out the retail price ...

ooooh, thats that website that the one guy used as a referance when he posted his buddies hood for sale, has a picture of a cavalier hood instead of a protege hood ... not a bad price...

honestly this is the ONLY evo style carbon fiber hood i would buy.
actually there are only 2 on the market now VIS and this one. WW doesnt make em anymore, Fiber Images hood is nice but really expensive i appretiate the quality and all but it cost around a thousand dollars, unless u have a garage queen thats not worth it imo. i mean who can say when a 12 year old kid or a punk teenager decides to key ur hood...

oh ya, i totally agree, especially at the apt complex i live in right now, kids EVERYWHERE, it would get ruined and they wouldn't even do it on purpose, thats why i park way away from everyone else, but i still see kids walking around my cars all the time ... hm, to bad i'm totally tapped on money right now, if i had some spare cash i would totally call them up and get one, quality was my main issue, seems this one will be just fine, i'll keep them in mind...

I was going to ask the same thing. I don't like the side vents in my EVO CF hood. Wish I had that one. BUT... I do have a rain guard. My hood stays on ok with the stock latch, but moves up and down above the middle vent when I hit the highway.... scares me sometimes!

Looks nice. I need to take my spoiler off too.

Looks good dude. I really like that the engine bay is cooler after a long drive. In the summer, my car is friggin hot for hours after I'm done driving.

looks good. are there lots of airbubbles or imperfections? on that passenger side gap, at least it's pretty much straight. You can always file the holes on the tabs and move it to the left just a tiny bit. Looks good man
