Don't tell the judge that the cop was just trying to make quota. That is stupid. What kind of a defense to speeding is that? If anything, you'll piss the judge off and make it worse for yourself.

Judges and cops are usually buds, and thus showing disdain for the police is not going to help your cause.

Don't make any lame excuses. Judges have seen thousands of lame excuses.

I am soooo f$cking lucky!!

I got pulled over last night..

A guy in a civic wanted to go, so fine, we went, the speed limit is 60 or 70 km/h. I blew him off, but I then kept on going, I think hitting 140-150 km/h. I was abou t to slow down for a right turn, and the lights came on, I was shitting myself.

Pulled over, cop comes up, "do you know how fast you were going sir?"

"No" was my respones.

"I was doing atleast 130-140 to catch up to you, and you were still pulling away!"

"ohh, wow, s***!"

"license, Insurance and registration please"

Cop goes back to his car, and while I am waiting, 3 or 4 different cops pull up and leave for the 25-30 minutes I am waiting.

Cop comes back.

"Here is your info, you are lucky tonight, I am not gonna give you a ticket, but please be careful, this can ruin your insurance, and speeding kills" and so on...

Holy s***, man was I lucky, not a first time (actually 3rd time), s***...

i dont know how relevent this is but i too got a moving violation back in FL and the way they do things is diffrent...u can appeal it and go to court and many times they drop it and u just pay court costs...and it goes on your record but dosn't effect your insurence...in MA though its like completly the opposite the officer dosnt have to show up to court at all when you appeal its like WTF!! and in MA the judges are hard to drop a ticket...ive been told to get it fixed its eaiser only if u know other officers though and god i wish the speed limit here was 40 or 45 TRY 30 for all you people!! makes me wish i was still in FL
