i could never get my engine that clean with all the snow and salt and rust treatments going on with the winters in montreal. no point in even trying to clean it...
Do you do it at a car wash? I'm just trying to figure out how I would do it. By the time I get to the car wash the engine will be super hot, and it would probably take a long while for it to cool.Maxx Mazda said:**** that, I've detailed cars for 5 years, and I pressure wash my own engine everytime I wash the car, no ill effects whatsoever... Do it while the engine is warm, not hot and the water will evaporate real fast...

I need to get into this habit!altspace said:Basically, once you have it clean all you need to do is wipe it down a little now and then. Not to tough really. Also helps if you polish things up and paint. Man I've spent days in my engine bay just cleaning.
