What colour was the spring you got with it?

The different color spring is rated at psi, and the higher psi rating the hard it is to realese or soemthing...I'm not positive on it...

Read it up, its wourth the it. Cause you don't wanna damage anything

Im now running the green spring. seems to do okay but now i have this weird noise every now and then like a whirling noise that might be because they still havent sent me my blanking plug for the intake anyone else get this noise? Oh and the BOV seems to change sounds from a pssst to the turkey wooosh sound it just depends on the day (uhm)

i think it has more to do with how much load you are putting on the motor and whether or not you are going in/out of vac/boost. Did you grease the valve when you changed the spring?

The valve was brand new when i changed springs it had the red lube on it already.

Do you guys think the whirling noise im getting has to do with the spring being to soft and opening at max boost? Is that even possible?

Are you saying that you were running the Forge BOV without any sort of plug on the intake side (i.e., just left open to the engine bay)?

Got my intake plug today and for now the whirling noise is gone. Hopefully that was it

yeah for a day or two figured it would be no big deal since the hole was so high up

i thought most people with a forge ran a dual setup with the stock bov?
i dont have one, but i thought other posts here mention that

Well, I guess that explains the weird sound you were hearing - air being sucked through the nipple that the bpv used to attach to.

I have just purchased a used Forge from someone on the site (still waiting for it to arrive though). Anyway, I have done a LOT of reading about the Forge BOV and it seems that some people run it in a dual bov/bpv setup and some run it alone. It's weird because there are guys with just the Forge who aren't experiencing any problems with stalling and then there are some who are (those guys usually end up with the dual setup). Maybe we only hear more from the guys who are experiencing problems than from the ones who aren't? It's the ol' squeaky wheel gets the grease... I'm going to try just the bov at first and see what happens. If I don't like how it runs, I'll do a dual bov/bpv setup.
