Yup.. saw all this fuss over the ebay electric supercharger so I went and bought it.

Got it a couple of days ago and finally had time to install it today.

Just finished installing and im going for a test drive. Will let you know how it does when I get back.

ok so i just got back from romping on it. Initial impressions seem good. I can notice more smoothness down low, and up top it seems to open up nicely. It is really hard to gauge acurately the gain without a dyno. I plan on doing that soon.

Overall, seems worth it, but make sure you tighten everything up and take your time. I am chasing another vacuum leak i think, sometimes the idle bounces between 1500 and 2100 rpms after driving for a bit. I think this is most likely vacuum related, but dont know for sure.

Anyone have experience with a bouncing idle?

subscribing for info

EDIT: i didn't look at the time the posts were made

more impressions:

after tightening things up and lowering the idle, i am still getting a bouncy idle at 1500-1800 rpms once i give gas then stop at a light say.

Anyways, other than that the car feels great. DEFINATELY more off boost response quicker throttle response down low in the rpms. Up top it feels good as well, but it is hard to gauge.

Overall i am very pleased, now if i could only find out what the bouncing idle is coming from....

hmm...subscrizzled for more info and to see a dyno result...i'm up right around you are as far as the hp/tq go.

update again:

EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL!! Found out after some inspection that my throttle cable was oriented 180 degrees in the wrong direction so i flipped it and everything is perfect.

Idle is back down to 850 purring like no other. Car pulls damn hard. Another observation.... The car's power delivery is very very smooth.

All in all A+ mod worth every bit

Positive rep appreciated!

Called up the local dyno shop and made an appt for tomorrow. He is a friend of a friend so hes going to let me use it tomorrow for some beer or something.

more results tomorrow.
