Just Bought a 07 MS3 Cosmic Blue (funny story)

Hey guys!!

I just bought a used 07 Cosmic Blue (Sport) here in Long Island with 5800 miles on the odo.

The previous owner already has done some mods like cpe cai, cpe tbe...and painted calipers with mazdaspeed logo...I'm not too sure what else he did to the car but thats what I can tell visually.

I'll post pics later today!

I've been reading up on the forums and read the post on the engine mount recall, so I decided to call Mazda and see if mine was done. Here was the convo with the service guy:

Me: I was wondering if you can check my VIN for any recalls

Service: Sure... let me look it up........you know your car was in water somewhere in Ontario?

Me:...........................what do you mean in water?

Service: The car was SUBMERGED in water in Ontario

Me:..................................(pissed)(pissed)(nailbyt)

Service: HA! just busting your chops...welcome to the Mazda family! (bursting in laughter) Yeah the recall was already done.

Needless to say, its off to a great start with my Mazda...

Next mods that I am looking into are 6000k HID and yellow fogs. Any advise is always helpful

You didnt ask the previous owner what all he did to the car before you bought it? Or did you buy it from a dealership who has no idea?

That's pretty kick ass, hope you still have the warrenty with the tbe. That would be pretty sweet if your dealer was cool with aftermarket mods and didn't care, welcome to the forums

I'm VERY curious actually how the guy took care of this car and what other mods were done to it. I have his name and address cause the car came with extra touch up paint with his info :X

but yeah i bought it from a dealer which they couldn't tell a difference between the GT and Sport model

It was at a EXXON/Mobile Gas station...

I know its a gas station but the place is real nice. The owner is a big fan of muscle cars and etc and knows how to take care of customers.

Its on Utopia and Norhtern if anyone knows where that is. (Queens)

Let me ask you guys this...do you guys put 5 QT's or 6?? cause we put 5 and pulled out the dipstick and it shows it needed one more....

I think the honda dealership that i bought the car from put 5w20 oil...i'm bit paranoid but i swear the car didn't feel as how it supposed to... that's why i didn't wait and changed it to 5w30 mobile 1... and BOY does it make a difference....
