Apologies in advance for a noob question. Here's my background. After years of driving a Civic Si, I have returned home. I owned a 323 GTX years ago and have owned two Proteges as well. Yesterday I went and picked up my very low miles (7500) 09 MS3 GT (no nav) in white. I LOVE it.
I have searched around the forum and on the interweb, but can't find a straightforward answer to my questions regarding Sirius and ipod integration:
1) The car has Sirius and about 1 year remaining on the subscription. I don't care too much about this feature, because I use my ipod for podcasts and audiobooks. Did the PO have the Sirius receiver installed by the dealer, or did it come standard with the GT stereo? Is this something I can pull out and sell, or is it part of the car?
2) I want to get my ipod integrated into my stereo. I see that this requires a harness and an integration module. Do I need both of these, or does my car already have the first part (the harness) because it has Sirius?
3) I have installed my own stereo stuff before and am comfortable ripping apart my dash. Is this a job I can do myself, or is it enough of a PITA that it is worth paying a dealer to do?
4) Can I just forget about this stuff and use Bluetooth somehow to get songs to the head unit?
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to years of participation here!
