Joe MBC Complete Install with pictures

The gauge pod is from the following site:
http://mixx.8m.com/fic/
And the gauge is an Autometer Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite Boost Gauge.
They are both sold separately. The orange light on the boost gauge at night matches well with the stock gauges.
I figured that the MSP would not handle more than 15 PSI, I found out today that fuel cut is 10 PSI, so purchased a meter that reads up to 20 PSI.
Next will be exhaust, U&L intercooler piping and greddy type S valve. BUT first I want to enjoy and get used to the additional 5 PSI.

Thanks for the How-To..
What are you gonna do if you have to go in for warranty work?

You have the same boost gauge I do.
Does it read less than 0 when the car is turned off?

Mine was at 0 until the first time I used it, now it's less than 0...

rrgh

In response to the meter, when car is shut off it always returns to the ZERO point.
This is the second day of 9.5 PSI and its total blast!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Joe MBC.

You can get that gauge pod at protege5online.com for 75 bucks... Just so you know.

I think that is what I will do too since I dont really know the benefit of a a/f gauge anyway.

Do you have the screw turned all the way in on your controller? Thats the way mine is and still seems like it want to jump pass 10 psi

thanks for the instructions xsivspd, I will be installing mine tonight :) this will make it nice and easy to do, do you have the part numbers for the intake? which improvements did u go to? any noticable gains with the intake?

Turn the screw OUT for less boost, IN for more boost.
Start with it OUT almost all the way, and then screw it in slowly as you drive around until you get the boost you want.

Hey you all, thanks for the appreciation to install instructions.
The K&N filter has made the bypass valve Very Loud and I see no reason to up to a different one since this does NOT leak.
The instructions for the boost gauge install is the from the following site:
http://church56.tripod.com/blitz.html
just substitute the DCTT2 for the manual gauge in the pod and you are set.
Hope this helps.
Magnus Motorsports has my car today and tomorrow to install the turbo back 3 inch exhaust. Marco will also be looking into a solution for the fuel cut. Will post pictures of completed exhaust on friday.

Just got my MBC installed, damn I should have done this before it makes a big difference in spool up time, and the bypass valve is much louder now. The hardest part was getting the damn hoses off, after that it was simple, thanks to xsivspd ;) have to install my Blitz this weekend

umm 3 inch exhaust, you have to post pics of that, and get a dyno

did u get that piece of pipe for your filter at performance improvements ? what exactly is it? I need to get something cause I am not paying 300 bucks for a INJEN CAI thats just crazy

exactly how safe is runing 9psi?? I know it is only like, 2 psi higher.. but any long term effects?
as far as we all know it is safe, apparently Calloway tested it at 9 and it was cool, if not I hope mine blows up before the warranty ends :D
