The Ford musuem has an Imax theater, you could check that out. It's in Dearborn, which is on the South side of Southfield. Their webpage is off of the greenfield musuem page I think. Sterling Heights has Kart 2 Kart, which is an awesome Go Kart track www.kart2kart.com

oh and fyi, hertz will rent you a car at the age of 24 but its like $17 more per day, and National/Alamo will rent you a car too, but im not sure how much they charge more per day. check em out, i would hate to be stuck in a hotel room

Any place will rent a car if you're over 21 basically. The only restrictions are you can't get a luxury car or full size truck (which I had gotten those a few times anyways). I even got a convertible in Florida when I was well under 25.

JHew, don't forget potholes, can't mention MI and leave those out.

true, lansing isn't quite as bad as detroit so i tend to forget about the potholes, but that is definitly a vital part of living in MI ...
