Just finished my car. Shift fork for 1st and 3rd gear was broken. Got a parts transmission from Scratch'n'sniff and replaced the damaged part. Painted my trans satin black, painted my strut bar to match my VC. Used Pennzoil Syncromesh transmission fluid and she drives like a charm

It's all custom. I bought the 3A racing tip at an autoparts store, went to a local exhaust shop, picked out my muffler (flow master renegade) and then had it straight piped from the down pipe to the 2-chamber muffler. I used 2.5" tubing. I'm a huge fan of the exhaust sound. It is loud and does drone, but isn't obnoxious and kinda sounds like a Subaru

Looking good, did you ever mangage to sell those wheels you had in order to fund your paint job? I know it's going to look great especially with the color of your CF hood!

I have them on craigslist now with no bites. My neighbor works for the school system as a bus mechanic. His co-worker paints the buses and does paint on the side. He painted my neighbors Focus bumper and it looks great. Cost him $100. I'm going to call that guy and see if he will accept the wheels as a trade for paint

Nice, hopefully it works out. So I'm assuming that's $100 for the labor and you're buying the paint right? Either way that's a great deal. Do you know how much a can of midnight blue costs?

This was a few years ago. the $100 covered everything. Not sure the current price on materials, I just know it's pricey. Most quotes I have gotten for the bumper are around $500

That seems high, especially just for the bumper. But it does seem the price of paint (including labor) has skyrocketed. My dad called me the other day and told me he spent $1400 to get less than half of his 85' Porsche painted. Granted the paint for it's a little expensive but still ridiculous. Quoted almost $4K for the whole thing.

Yeah, local guy around here does quality paint and he does whole cars starting at 3K. I would love to have my whole car painted, but I'm having enough trouble getting the front done
