JDM Tails

Hello all...

I'm looking into importing a set of JDM tails from Taiwan, and I have a couple of questions for anyone who can offer assistance. (Yes I tried a search)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1) Can anyone confirm that these are the correct part #s? I believe they are Japanese - does anyone know if they will work in Taiwan?
B25R-51-160C (left)
B25R-51-150C (right)

2) Do these part #s include the wiring harnesses?

3) If not, does anyone have the wiring harness part #s?

I work for a Canadian company that imports computer cables and accessories from Taiwan and China and I am looking at maybe doing some JDM stuff on the side if this works out.

Yeah, I spoke to Jliao - he apparently has a hook-up straight from the factory so his lights came with harnesses and even bulbs! I guess they're made to go straight onto a brand new car instead of as a replacement part.

I gotta go through a dealership in TW so I think it may not be the same.

Unfortunately he can't even confirm the part# though.

not to thread jack... but can you also ask your friend to find the part number to the taiwanese spec power folding side mirrors and the control switch? (they work like jspec ones, but they are angled for LHD use)

it'll be uber cool to have this documented in case someone wants to get them for "rice" purposes

Hmmm... that would be pretty cool. Do the Taiwanese get the aspheric glass as well? I don't know how I would go about getting this info other than walking into a dealership in Taiwan.

def, I think you're better off finding a way to get it from manufacture. Those dealer will probably sell you the price that you would get your tail lights here in US.

In addition, sorry for taking so long on my tail lights. I haven't yet try the one I brought back. Once I know it works then I'll see what i'm going to do with the shipping. I believe I might just do a group buy with mininum of 15 orders. (Might ship by boat, cheapest way).

I don't know if I will be able to go direct to manufacturer. I don't have a contact and I'm not sure about whether they have an exclusive agreement with mazda (not to sell their parts to anyone else). I think going through a dealer may be the only way for me.

How did you get it from the manufacturer? Do you know someone who works there?

Any luck on finding the part# yet?

i dunno know if anybody has checked the mazda japan site lately...but the tail lights for the sport20 are now the same (i think) as the p5...hehe...so by technicality we all have jdm lights...

Ok, so I'm getting closer...

According to this diagram, there are two separate part #s: One corresponds to the entire assembly (including the harness and bulbs) and the other is just the housing.

Unfortunatley, these are the NA part #s. Does anyone know where I can get a similar parts catalogue for JP / Taiwan / Asia? This would be invaluable as then I could also find the part# for TheMAN's power folding mirrors.

they do not have aspheric mirrors... they DO have convex mirrors on BOTH sides of the car... you can just swap the driver's side mirror glass after you get the mirror housings... it's just 10 bucks!

you can get the light housings both with the harness or without... usually when you get everything including the bulbs, it's cheaper... something weird with how mazda prices their crap
