JBR Swaybar Installed - First Impressions

Hi All,

I installed the JBR sway bar ("SB") after driving my Sport GT with 18" wheels and stock Dunlop SP5000 tires for 4k mi. First impression is very positive.

The reason I ordered the SB was to reduce the roll I experienced when doing hard cornering. There are a few twisty corners that I rail on everyday so I know how the car reacts quite well. I felt like the tires had more in them if I could get the car to stay a bit flatter.

Driving Impressions

The balance of the car seems to be light years better and understeer is drastically reduced. Initial turn-in response is much improved because the rear end will now rotate rather than roll. Mid corner is more confidence inspiring and almost makes the car feel rear wheel drive. I haven't hammered the car too hard yet but I suspect corner exit will have better traction as well.

I would say this SB transformed the car from "good" handling to "great" handling.

Highly recommended.

BTW I put a review up on JBRs site but it's not listed yet.

If you have questions just ask.

Yup that's how I feel about the sway bar too. Which setting are you on? I'm only on the softest one, can't imagine how much better the handling will be with the stiffer setting. I've had mine for a few months now and so far so good too. Aside from the great handling, car also feels more stable when driving on the freeway. Supposedly the front sway bar is coming out July. Looking forward to it :D

To be honest I'm not sure which setting is which lol. I put the links on the second hole from the end of the bar.

Ok I thought about it for a second and it's on the stiffest setting because the endlink has less leverage on the inside part of the bar, which increases resistance.

I like it stiff so I'm probably not changing it.
