This is a certain style some Japanese are into...I've seen more of it in JP car mags than on the streets but not all Japanese car enthusiasts are JDM connoisseurs...there are styles here that make anything from the states seem mild...

saw this in kagoshima city and saw a caddy lowrider that night too

Folks: the cars with the crazy hoods, oil coolers, wings, flares, and tailpipes are called bosozoku.The cars are basically touring car cues from the late-seventies and early eighties taken to extremes. The guys who do this know their cars look outrageous; they do it to shock.

i do like some of the other cars in the other galleries in that site, it even has that apexi rx7 n a crap load of RE ones. as for the gallery that's posted... i really don't want to comment on them.
