JAck points?

I know where the jack points are for using the included emergency jack but I want to know the reccommended spots to jack the car using a standard floor jack. So far I have been jacking up mine on the beamlike parts right near the exhaust pipe. Doea any one have a pic of the underside of the car? That would make this thread 200% more effective.

On the MS3 I jack the front from the cross member where the rear transmission mount bolts in. In the rear, I jack on the re-enforcement plate goes across tying the suspension parts together. Use a block of wood to spread the load a bit.

If we jack using these points then where would we put the jack stands? Do those go at the points for the factory jack?

I have a good solution so that we can use the 4 factory jack points with a standard floor jack. I used a 4x4 beam of wood and cut out a block with a cut right in the middle that will fit in the fin part on the car. I made one of these blocks and it worked great.

If we jack using these points then where would we put the jack stands? Do those go at the points for the factory jack?

That's what I do. My jack stands have a groove in the middle of the saddle which locates well on the pinch weld.
