There was a thread a couple weeks ago with the sight for the jspec/espec tail lights and where to buy them. Does anyone know the website? I Tryed a search but I came up with nothing.

What are you looking for??

The 323f is in Europe, and those tailights should be the same as those on the Protege 5 last I saw. The Familia wagon in japan has similar taillights as well...I thought.

After seeing some pictures, now I see what you want. You want taillights styled like the sedan for your wagon. Just so you know, those taillights are technically illegal because they will not have the reflective strip on the outside corner like what the US spec taillights have.

Just so you know.

im sure they are reflective like any other light?

No, the US has specific standards for the lights used. If you look at your US spec taillight, you will notice a reflective strip on the outside edge where the taillight raps onto the side of the car. All of the "Altezza" style lights for the Protege have it. It is easier to see on the "altezza" style light than on a regular tailight because of the red on clear v red on red, respectively.

The JDM taillights do not have this reflective strip. Hence, they are technically illegal in the US.

Does it matter? Not really...
Are you going to get in trouble for it?? Most likely not.

I just put that up as an FYI...

Actualy the bototm red area of those taillights is only a red reflector, hence does not light up, and conforms to US spec lighting laws.

No, not the bottom, on the side of the taillight. And it does not conform to US lighting laws, or they would be on the US cars...Look at the Familia sedan, same thing. No reflector on the otuside edge.

i've calling them for a while now but they keep saying, "we are trying to bring them in."

If you know anyone in Taiwan, they can get the lights for around Cdn$250/pair, which is really cheap, cos they sell them for here Cdn$550/pair...
