It's NOT all over

"a while"? yeah a year and a half, that's definitely awhile lol.
Nice job.
Keep in mind that while you have $3k in pocket, you also have a car that technically has greatly diminished value due to a totaled title... that's prob ~ a 2k knock off lol.
I'm still perplexed as to why that would have been totalled though - general rule is 75%, if they gave you 9850 value, that means estimate was $7500?
Or was the frame minorly bent somewhere?

Well first, it has been done for around 8 months I just haven't gotten around to posting pic's.

Second, the fact that the value has gone down is not a big deal to me, I don't plan on selling it anytime soon.

Lastly the dumb ass who wrote the estimate on the car either wanted the car or did not know what he was doing. The s*** he put on it was not even damaged, like the whole AC system. Plus as you can see I did 90% of the work myself, so I saved a ass load. The car was put on a rack and the frame was not touched. Go rain on someone else's parade.

Hey, I'm just pointing out food for thought, no negative intentions.
I had ab uddy who did the same thing once, bought back his car and spent alot of time/$$ fixing it... then a year later, went to sell it and got all POed that he couldn't get any real $$ for it due to the salvage title.

Yeah sounds like the estimator was tryin gto make some $$ of the car. happens around here too, they claim alot of damage, then lowball on the totalled value... they buy the car from ins co. cheap, based on that quote, then they fix it and resell. Most people don't know about buying it back and are never the qiser.
