It was bound to happen

Im supposed to have it back by next friday (7th). BUt I talked to him yesturday and Im looking at the following Mon/Tue.

Another 3 days isn't a big deal since its been a month already. Im just anxious to get her back.

I was anxious too. Just let him take as much as he needs, but I suggest going by there whenever you get the chance to check on the progress. Mine took a long time too. And any little bit of problems.. take it STRAIGHT back to let him look at it some more.

Oh and make sure he doesn't wear out your brakes on the test runs. Twenty-two thousands regular miles without racing and I needed new brakes after just 3 shop visits. He just lovessssss to check the stopping power after gunning it going 70mph down those side streets.

lol at least the test it. I tried to hav the MPI tuned when i had it and they didnt even drive it!

It would break -up at first and then pull real hard at stock boost. Engine MS definitely makes a BIG diff.

Not good EMS, it's good tuning makes a big difference. And I still need to try to change out my wastgate this weekend. These are the days you really wish you had a lift instead of ramps or jacks. Oh, and maybe some power tools. And maybe a little bit more patience. lol

Don't worry. I will make sure the car will be in perfect running/Tuned condition when I leave his shop. I should be getting the car back between july 7th-11th. I just want it back. But we are testing a few diff turbo's on the car, and that might take a day or 2 more. I cant wait till MazdaSummerPalooza. The drive up will give me plenty time to get back in sync with the car.

Wooooooo. Way to bring back an old ass depressing thread. Been a long time since I blew the stock block. Just wanted to show the true damage that happened to my motor. I just cleaned out my garage today and still have the motor sitting in a corner just because. Here is the pics, no protege owner should ever have to witness this. Enjoy! Be safe newly boosted fsde's. Oh, and take Kooldino's advice from this thread. Wish I would have taken the right precautions so this wouldn't have happened.

Damn, did it talk about your momma or something? You sure showed it!

That's some serious... uh... crank case ventilation right there (boom07)

Are only boosted Protege motors inherent to windowing the block, or can NA Proteges suffer the same fate?
