Issues with konis

Earlier this year I had koni struts put in my 2008 speed3. At the time I had 80k+ on the car. The struts went back at 50k. I bought the koni gold struts off eBay brand new still wrapped up. Installed them in march or April. They were great for the first month. Then the clunks started again. Brought it back and they found no issues. A few months later more louder noises and a horrible ride. Bring it back and they hear the noises but can't find the source. So today I bring it for the third time and they tell me the struts are shot. I have yet to be charged by the garage for them to look at my car. And they are not looking to get me in to have them fix it so I trust them. They have worked on a few cars of mine over the years.
So anyone else have issues like these? I'm going home to see if I can find any warranty info but I'm thinking I'm screwed.

were they legit konis or chinese copy konis? Have the swaybar endlinks been checked?

They are the real deals. Sway bars have been checked a few times.
