There is a million intakes on ebay that look just like this.

Dunno but that is the same one I order a few days ago.

Overall it will provide a increase in performance, not so much HP but throttle response shall inprove. And for 30-40 bucks its not a bad deal.

All in all if you dont like it just put it back on ebay, and go get the CAI Injen whcih I want eventually.

Should have that short ram in a few days.

I would get the injen, but I am worried about it sucking up water us it's pricey. Exactly how low does it hang?

The CAI should not suck water up long as you avoid big massive puddles. They also make a guard for it to help keep water out. But normal use in a environment where rain is not big the CAI should not be a problem.

all I can say, if you dont test and/or dyno your car, you will never now if the intake is helping or not.

I have an Injen, and I have Dynoed my car...and it helps, not like I expected, but at least is better than stock.

But I dont know the one from ebay.

The filter is great for the money, so long you are OK with the blue hoses. I'm ordering a new intake filter from AEM because I want all the hoses to match. The performance is great; sound, too; but I just can't get used to looking at those blue hoses. In fact, I'm selling my filter for $30.00, email or PM me if you are interested.

Very few if any intakes will sport a increase of 12 hp. Their are some applications with N/A cars that have net almost that much, but they are few and fair between. And course a Turbo will gain even more over a N/A.

Now when combine with other modifications to the engine, the intake will help to gain more numbers from those.
But throttle response is a something you should notice easily with the intakes.


Dynoing as mention is one of the only true ways to see how much HP you have gain. Course going to the track helps to, but doesnt really give you a good feel for the HP gain. Those faster times can be attruibuted to other increases.

But hey 30 bucks is not bad to place a intake in there, both for looks and the little performance gain that intakes give.

Ebay intake is not bad at all.
I have purchased blitz style intake for my MP5, it sounds good.
I don't think it has big performance gain though.
spending $30 not bad at all, it's not going to hurt us anything if you install it properly.

I meant by installing bracket. If you don't properly mount them, you will hear all kinds of noises.
